About the tweets that are visible and those that doesn't. I think it's the verification. Those who gave money to Musk are visible and those who doesn't, no.

Yeah, he’s not playing Jesus, although that would be hilarious. My money’s on King Herod.
It looks good! There are a few reminisces of Monty Python, as Ellie suggested, just in flavor. I wonder how much kerfuffle it will stir up? Hopefully lots. A black Jesus is going to send some folks over a cliff. 😂

John Legend played Jesus Christ in an extremely popular TV movie. He was also nominated to the Emmy for the role and very recently Mel Brooks had a Black Jesus in his History of the World 2. Actually there was a joke about Hollywood making Jesus white (even when they presented him like a black man) that, if the rumors about BC’s part as a dirty beggar are true (Based on Michael Palin’s role in Life of Brian?) then there is a similar joke about his character so in certain way he is kinda playing Jesus Christ… TBF There wasn’t any scandal about those two versions.

And I doubt the evangelicals will see this anyway. 😂

I think I posted this the other day we were talking about it but I think, in general, the Catholics are more open about saints, virgins and Jesuses from all kind of ethnicities. That was part of the brilliance of their evangelization: they just adapted the “characters” to the regions! They did what people are now accusing Disney to do! 😉
There is actually a very moving documentary called A Black Jesus about African migrants that found the Christ in the local Italian church they are detained waiting for permits is black. Some racist locals claim it’s just the wood and that it wasn’t the intention of the artist but, of course, it was. Actually, there is a church a pair of block from my Mexican house and the temple is dedicated to a Black Virgin Mary so that’s very common around the globe for the Catholic Church. Mexico also has its own Indigenous Virgin Mary. Anyway, I really recommend the documentary. It’s very sincere about the clash of cultures and prejudices but also about the slow but beautiful integration and how people can find common things through traditions and faith even when they superficially look different.

Having studied art, I can tell you that the images of Jesus and other biblical characters reflect the part of the world where the art was made. In fact, the images usually look a lot like the artist! We’re so used to seeing the works of Italian renaissance artists that we’ve come to accept “That’s what Jesus really looked like!”- when it’s really what sixteenth century Italians looked like.
I remember the first time we had a model posing for us in drawing class. During a break, most of the students left the room, and our model walked around, looking at the drawings in progress. I joined her, and we were able to identify whose drawing was whose because they looked so much like the artists. Still today, the portraits I draw always look at least a little like me.

It looks like a reversed Life of Brian.
I can't get much from the trailer, it looks comedic and I hope it is because The Harder They Fall took itself too seriously.
