Would love to see a pic of BC in the role but I guess there aren’t any because they will be spoilers. Also I think the marketing for this film is not great. It’s hard to get a handle on what exactly it’s about. Plus, is it a comedy? Is it serious? I know that giving too much away would ruin some of the surprises but as it is it’s kind of hard to know whether or not I want to see it. At first I thought I did but then I read about the crucifixion scenes & them being described as “torture porn” and I thought nope, not for me. 😱

I was thinking that the idea of multiple fake Messiahs is also taken from Life of Brian. In that film it was also the real Jesus and Brian, who contrary to the protagonist of this film, is accidentally confused with the Messiah and tries to explain everyone that he isn’t the messiah, but also one of the John Cleese characters said he has followed a few messiahs and there is also that wonderful scene with a lot of “spiritual leaders” in line preaching dumb stuff to groups of incredulous people. I particularly love the boring one predicting everyday “strange” events as part of a very boring apocalypse like not finding hammers in the place they were put the nigh before! lol

"Apparently Americans still think there are just two categories of people in the world: white and blacks."
This is only black Americans. They increasingly claim more middle eastern people's history as their own, saying that Cleopatra and the Pharoahs of Egypt, the builders of the pyramids, and Biblical figures were all black.
I recently heard a really head-scratching claim that black people built Stonehenge, so I guess it's expanding north.

Maybe the “not found” had to do with the tweet someone posted about TBOC and The End We Start From now being available on demand.
I just checked my tv’s On Demand movies, and they’re both there! They each cost $24.99 - which is way more than it would cost to see them in a theatre. But I suppose they figure that you’ll have a bunch of people gathered around to watch with you.
I’ve never watched any On Demand stuff before, so I don’t really know how it works. How long do get to keep the movie? Or are you buying it so you can watch it forever? And how do you pay them?

Ooooh! Lots of spoilers in that article! Avoid it if you’re avoiding spoilers!

They were posting images of BC on the cross and many people, including myself, were complaining about it.
I generally don't mind spoilers, especially in this case where it was very commented what BC's role was. But, seeing the pictures it was quite a shock.
I think they must be on the Sun's article sgev1977 just posted.
Edit: I'm always late. Haha

More proof that social media activism is just the most idiotic and ignorant bandwagon ever: apparently BC playing Jesus in a movie is a perpetuation of, wait for it… Zionism! A Palestine man should had played the part! lol
Yes, during Christmas there was a group of fanatics that were sure that Jesus was a Palestine, not a Jew! Most probably Jesus didn’t existed and, sure, he is a prophet in the Quran but Islam didn’t existed at the time.. AT ALL! Both Islam and Christianity come from the Jewish tradition and Christians very clearly see Jesus as a Jewish man. And apart of that… WTF BC playing Jesus or more exactly a fake Messiah in a comedy film has to do with Zionism?!
(I will confess that I intentionally searched on Twitter to see if there were some idiotic reactions but I was waiting for some white Evangelicals being scandalized by the theme of the film not for crazy pro-Islamists who somehow imagine themselves like liberals!)
EDITED I tried to read the 800 and plus comments on the DM but for some reason my iPad refuses to show them (Good judgement? Maybe). I want my angry Christians fix! lol.

We already know this, but He doesn’t play Jesus in the movie - a different actor does. Maybe all those photos don’t exactly spoil the movie because they are wrong about his character. It was still be a surprise.
