A professional movie critic but he is just commenting the pseudo “imaginary friends” trend,
Anyway, I hope the series is very talked, positively, of course! But also, you know, that it becomes something more talked than Patrick Melrose, which it’s a masterpiece and one of BC’s best performances but it’s completely ignored! Another TikTok I saw on a Google search (I just read the synopsis on Google, I didn’t see the video. Now I wonder if the person was also at the screening), claimed that BC was doing a TV series for the first time since Sherlock finished!
EDITED Also I haven’t watched If but Eric looks not just much better designed but also “real”. The other creature is clearly a digital effect and looks awful, like a lot of modern digital effects. It really helps that Eric is a puppet, old time F/X. I wonder how different are the budgets for both productions.

It apparently was deleted because the embargo, Probably from the same “review”, EDITED The last tweet is actually from an interview with Gabby Hoffman. It’s not part of the deleted review. There are more nice words about the series. They compare it to some acclaimed Netflix series like Mindhunters, Griselda and Ripley but also there is a wonderful quote by Hoffman about her work with BC. I can’t copy and paste it because for some reason they have her quotes on images!
