I am apprehensive about any shows that "get the old gang back". Have there ever been any that were truly successful? Mostly it seems to reek of "well my career is stuck, so I might as well go back to what everyone identifies me with anyway".
And I don't think that either writers or actors fit into this slot. BC and MF's careers are thriving. "Motfiss" are also busy.
So I don't see any pluses for these people to motivate them to do a continuation/reunion of the series.
And the risks of "reactivating" all the nasty Johnlock fanatics, who are still pushing their "canon" ideas all over tumblr and Twitter and such, is just too high IMO. Even if the script was brilliant, the acting sublime, the direction dazzling - it would still be accused of "queerbaiting" if there is no Johnlock fulfillment!
It's just a lose/lose proposition as far as I'm concerned.

Okay, what we need is a show that puts Mrs. Hudson as the central character. She’s got an exciting past, is a badass, maybe works in a secret part of the government or something. Sherlock and John bip in and out of her life as they work on his cases, clearly thinking they’re the main characters but they aren’t. She is, lol.

I saw recently that another of my all time favourite shows, “Frasier” is coming back but just with the Frasier character & not the rest of the cast. It was that particular ensemble that made it so great. I’ve no appetite for the revival.

Yeah, I saw that about Fraiser too.
Basically it was just Kelsey Grammer who wanted to do this. None of the others in the regular cast signed up for the "reboot".
There was some vague talk about guest appearances for some of the other regulars but Jane Leeves specifically said she wouldn't let this reboot interfere with her current work. DHP said it sounded interesting but he didn't know much about it.
I adore Fraiser as much as I adore Sherlock but I really don't want to see some half-ass attempt to cash in on a classic series just to "reboot" Kelsey Grammer's flagging career.

That’s great! There were different places online where fans had posted the scripts, but this is so much better! I have bookmarked it on my iPad, so there will always be something interesting for me to read.
