He looks fabulous in all of them, but I'm pretty partial to his Hamlet locks. 😍

I love them all, but the far right (Burberry show?) is my favorite.

Of the four pictures in that post I like the Burberry hair the best because it is most like his natural colour. But if I had my druthers as to hair style I think I like his hair shorter than any of the four. My least favourite hair style of his is "Greekbatch" (it looks too messy and out of control) and the slicked back version like he had when he was Khan (too greasy looking). My most favourite Cumberbatch hair - I tend to side with the Batch himself and prefer it shorter - For shortest hair... when he was reading the poetry at the RIII re-interment. and for the longest hair - just recently when he was interviewed by that fellow on the sofa for Good Morning Britain. I don't think it is ever possible for him to look truly bad with whatever hairstyle he has, but I do think he looks his absolute best when his hair is somewhere within the parameter of these two sets of pictures - to me. :-))

I like the very short look as at the Richard III service and the long and tousled as in Greekbatch. Not so keen on the in between length side parted look he tends to mostly go for. I don't think it suits him nearly as well as other two styles.

I think there was a time when he did his own hair, even for red-carpet events, and it shows! But now he probably has a stylist who gets him ready for a big night out, so how his hair looks probably isn't his choice. He has said before that he has sensitive hair follicles, so that's probably why he prefers short hair - there's less hair to comb and brush and blow-dry.

I don't think he cares at all about how his hair looks, other than not wanting it long - and I think that's only so he doesn't have to do anything to it. I think he'd be fine with whatever hairstyle someone gives him. He wouldn't have to retain a stylist because men get their hair cut far more often than women, and probably before a special event - whether or not cameras are present. I also think that's the reason he keeps his "filming hair" even when he's off the set. He just can't be bothered to change it.

Yes, but I thought he was referring specifically to his Sherlock hair - long and curly.

I thought he didn't like his Sherlock hair because it took so long to do. He hates sitting still for hours while they fuss with his locks.
