Yes! This sounds great. I do hope it goes ahead.

Speaking of hair (on the other thread), this guy was balding with a receding hairline/combover. That will be a whole new look for Benedict!

Well I won't lie Milemass. That's put something of a damper on it for me 😧. Still if they can have the svelte and handsome Rufus Sewell play the decidedly plain looking and hugely overweight Lord Melbourne in the recent "Victoria" TV series then I think the filmmakers might exercise some artistic licence with BC's character's hairstyle. 😀
Seriously. I would want to see this movie whatever BC looks like in it. Him looking good would just be a bonus.

Sounds like very interesting subject matter for a project for him. He certainly would play a decidedly unsympathetic criminal mind in this one (but I am sure that he will find some capacity to make him connect with the audience somehow). But the darkness of the character wouldn't really matter to me - I can absolutely love watching a very dark and evil character develop and unfold if it is done with a deft hand and a good script!
I read up on the main character's story after hearing the news of this potential movie and I must say this could be a stunner of a story for sure. Loads of potential for some hugely dramatic scenes and lots of tension. I haven't read the script (I don't know if I will - I do like some surprise when I go to see a film still) but the real life story of this man is way more sinister than "Catch Me if You Can" (one of my very favourite LdC movies). This fellow was convicted after all of murdering a man as well as custodial kidnapping and assault. He is still in prison for his crimes. He is no Frank Abagnale, Jr. who turned away from crime once he was caught.
I hope it does come to fruition for BC. He could knock it out of the park for sure!
Just a small question - when I heard that Fox Searchlight Pictures was the producer of this it struck me that they are also associated with another future project of BC's... but which one?? Or am I just mixing this up with something else? He has so much work lined up in the not too distant future I just can't keep track!! Does anyone remember another film that has even partial backing of Fox Searchlight?
:-))

Also, they changed the race of the FBI agent Gleason who, according to google, is white and on the script is black. So I hope they let BC use his lushest hair.

I don't know about the producer but the scriptwriter wrote the John Legizamo's classic The Pest! One of the silliest movies ever! 😂
Apparently he is also a very respected play writer.

WOW! That's great! I like to read scripts sometimes. Thank you! Did you happen to already have it, or was it still online somewhere before now being (likely) quickly removed? And this was the slightly more interesting comment/article re the news from "The Playlist", and they're saying BC has already signed up rather than just being in talks. Since Deadline broke the news, though, and this other article is just following it, I would think "in talks" is more likely correct. theplaylist.net/benedict-cumberbatch-star-forever-developing-man-rockefeller-suit-20170412/It does sound like a terrific premise. Before actually reading the script, though, I am rather doubting it's going to be any sort of comedy per se (as wished elsewhere), because as Roverpup's already said, this is no "Catch Me If You Can" sort of story with the nice ending. This is a much more sinister character who is in gaol now for murder.
