Some people are comparing it to Spielberg movie but it seems it's much more darker. I just bought the book and the extracts of the reviews in the first pages are comparing it to Hitchcock.

Well I won't lie Milemass. That's put something of a damper on it for me 😧. Still if they can have the svelte and handsome Rufus Sewell play the decidedly plain looking and hugely overweight Lord Melbourne in the recent "Victoria" TV series then I think the filmmakers might exercise some artistic licence with BC's character's hairstyle. 😀 Seriously. I would want to see this movie whatever BC looks like in it. Him looking good would just be a bonus. Melbourne wasn't plain and hugely overweight, Ellie. Where did you get that from? In his day, Melbourne was regarded as a very handsome man and very charming and very much a ladies' man. And portraits of him bear that out. It might have been partially from looking for a father figure, but Victoria really did have a crush on him too.

I agree, but maybe they decided that a handsome villain would be more interesting to audiences than one who isn't. Someone posted a picture of Eric McCormack playing the role in the TV movie, and they let him look as handsome as he always is - with a full head of (messy) hair.

In Catch Me if You Can, he was passing himself off as a number of different people. This reminds me more of The Talented Mr. Ripley or Six Degrees of Separation, where they take on the identity of someone else in order to con wealthy people.

I don't know about the producer but the scriptwriter wrote the John Legizamo's classic The Pest! One of the silliest movies ever! I've never watched it and didn't know it existed. Apparently he is also a very respected play writer. Does he write stage plays? His Imdb credits as a writer are very few, all realated, I think, to John Leguizamo. I read the script without paying full attention. I'm not going to post spoilers only comment on what I think of it. The story of Clark Rockefeller is well known and there is an article from Variety very detailed on how they found him. Variety article from the authorThe story is not centered on CR but more on the investigation and it shows flashbacks of situations from the past. Depending on the director BC's role may be a supporting role. The script doesn't show any transformation of the character, it is anecdotic, just a series of situations, with no depth, imo. The police investigation is not especially interesting or exciting because it is already known although I think they changed some things like the ex-wife helping the fbi like side by side with the agents. I have to read again the Variety article (which I only skimmed) and the script, paying more attention.

WOW! That's great! I like to read scripts sometimes. Thank you! Did you happen to already have it, or was it still online somewhere before now being (likely) quickly removed? The link still works for me. Here it is anyway. Attachment Deleted

Here is the scriptwriter entry on Wikipedia: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Bar_KatzI will read the script later. Apparently it was also in te Black List. Anyway the copy online is a first re-write from 2014 so it surely it's not the definitive version.
