I’m impressed that Blythe Danner has hair that thick and long at her age. It’s not as long as the hair of the woman in the picture though. Probably just some random woman, lol. Remember when any woman spotted with Benedict, including Sophie (especially Sophie), was just “some random woman”. Oh, the humanity! I saw Blythe Danner on stage years ago, btw. She was wonderful. I’ve also seen John Lithgow on stage. Love him! Would he be appropriate for cousin Henry in Melrose? I don’t remember the character’s age. The vegan festival is probably just a music festival, although there are some musicians who promote veganism. The Mountain Goats come to mind. I wonder if their musical instruments are made without using animal byproducts? side note: I had to edit my post because auto dictator changed “probably” to “problematic”! Lol! Yes, she has shorter hair than the woman in the picture. She is wonderful but it’s always perplexing why her daughter become a movie star so easily meanwhile she never did. She is more talented and at least equally beautiful. I think Henry is around Patrick’s age but I’m not sure. He is American so it would be interesting to know who will play him if they include him! It seems there are much more American actors than British ones or at least it seems you always see the same faces in BBC productions!

Blythe Danner came of age at one of the worst times ever for women in film. In addition, there were not nearly as many films made, very few television channels and those that did exist aired a limited number of prestige dramas. There may have been other factors that kept her from becoming a major star. Gweneth is very talented, but remarkably irritating to some of us. She doesn’t seem to get great parts anymore and her focus is on her lifestyle empire. I wouldn’t normally say this kind of thing, but Blythe is more beautiful and at least as talented.

Gwyneth Paltrow is a very smart woman. Her extra curriculum business are a proof of that and maybe it influenced to her success as an actress when she was just a novice. She doesn’t has the glamorous career she had in the 90’s but she is in the Marvel franchises and it helps her to still relevant in Hollywood even when her business seems to occupy more of her time.
There are a few movie stars from Danner time. Meryl Streep and Diane Keaton are two who still working nowadays but somehow she become more a character actress than a star even when she was stunning.

Blythe Danner has been one of my favourite actors since we saw her in The Great Santini with Robert Duvall in 1979 at the cinema.
I was fascinated by her, with her whiskey voice and wry delivery. I have watched a lot of her since then. She was fabulous in Husband's and Wives and I'll See You in My Dreams as well.
I think she is one of those actors who always makes a film better no matter how large or small her role is written.

I think Gweneth Paltrow is awful - bilking silly, self-involved women out of their money. She’s certainly calculating and opportunistic if that passes for smart. I hope she steam cleans her vagina hourly.
There were a few female stars during Blythe Danner’s prime, but many actresses complained about how many of the few good parts went to Meryl Streep. Dinner is actually a little older than Streep and there were fewer good women’s roles before Streep came along.

Yes, I used “smart” as calculating. A lot of her products are aimed to very dumb people!
