I had no idea BC even was in such a project. The trailer's pretty nondescript as per usual with war movies/docu-dramas, but very smart release date!

I saw the entire series a while back (not just BC's part) and it was really quite good. He was heart wrenchingly excellent in his role, especially the part where the wounded soldier he was portraying was left at the hospital outpost to be captured by German troops after they took over the area.
Since our trip to England (and visiting the WWII tunnels at Dover which featured in the series) I will have to watch this again. When we went to Dover and went down in the tunnels I thought of this dramatized documentary and was thrilled that I had seen it prior to going through the Dover installations that were such a big part of the rescue operations of Dunkirk.

He is sure the Germans would immediately kill him because he was known to be merciless with the enemy but then one German soldier kindly offers him food and he just lose it. He is great in that scene.

He is great in that scene. Well, that scene was outstanding for sure but for me his entire performance was very memorable. I loved the entire scene with him in the last line of defence posting and he was lining up the German soldiers in his gun sights when then were using the civilians as shields. Really well played with the conflicting emotions and tensions. And before that he was the epitome of British command primness,. So clipped in his speech and precise in his mannerisms but underneath you could smell his apprehensions as to their dire situation. Now I feel like I have to see this production again! LOL! Just talking about it takes me back to all that I enjoyed about it. It certainly deserves a second viewing IMO. :-))
