I don't believe in micro-analysising photos but gosh, BC looks like he would rather be chewing on broken glass than be at that game. Perhaps he is just missing family? BTW - I love that hat so I am glad Sophie didn't burn it! LOL!

He looks so lonely! 😭 I *knew* I should have gone to Atlanta. I could have cheered him up, lol. But, yeah, maybe the game was terrible.

I would be bored if I had to watch baseball in such a dead stadium (I mean there are empty seats everywhere around him!) too. But I like the hat and he looks super cute.

Benedict wishing that he'd accepted that invitation to watch some paint dry instead.
I hate the hat. Would definitely have been on the bonfire if I got to decide. Which is one of the many reasons Sophie is a good choice of spouse for him. No doubt their personalised wedding vows included her promising to love and cherish his hat collection until death do them part.

Well, I love hockey (both live and watching it on TV) and have often gone to Canadian football games (local and a couple of CFL games), soccer matches and I have even gone to a couple of live rugby games, but only one live baseball game and by far the biggest bore was the baseball game. Like you mllemass, it was a Blue Jays game, so major league, but it was absolutely tedious to get through. I am not sure but I don't think the Jays even scored one home run. We went because my sister-in-law is a huge Jays fan and they wanted it to be a nice family outing. The lunch in a downtown restaurant was devine and the highlight of the day for me! I do appreciate that for real fans of the game it probably is a lot more exciting and interesting. I know my SIL gets all kind of joy from being a fan (she and my brother even winter in Florida so they can follow them there during spring training) so I am chalking my boredom of the game springing from the fact that I don't know anything about the finer points of the game. I just can't get used to the fact that there is so much time between the plays (I am much more used to the quick back and forth aspect of hockey) and I just see a lot of standing around doing nothing on the field, waiting for the all mighty "pitch" (and then it happens to foul off about 6 times, so nothing advances). And there also seem to be some pretty overweight players too - you would never see hockey players with such large guts on them! To be fair though, BC may have been photographed for only a minute, so it might not be representative of how he was during the entire game. Although, compared to the pix of him and Sophie at Wimbledon, it is a startling contrast. Both of them were so animated and my favourite picture without a doubt was this one - :-))

It's just so unlike him not to be enjoying himself and interacting with other people around him. But, as you say, it was only a split second on the Jumbotron. And yes, baseball can be deadly boring. Lots of adjusting their pants, shirts, spitting and waiting. However, the Cubbies last summer were amazing! That was actually some exciting baseball! I think there was a game recently that went into 18 innings. Talk about expiring from boredom, lol.

He's not alone, though, isn't that Adam Ackland?

The guy in the A's hat? I don't think that's Adam. Not ginger enough.
