I'm still actually pretty sure they will bring Sherlock back, eventually. I just don't think it'll be any time very soon.
BC is in huge demand now, but he is nearly 41 already. And times change. Lead roles will get naturally thinner on the round again, although producing his own projects will offset that. But Sherlock is still a big lead, and I think Mofftiss et al would like to see Sherlock through to keeping bees.

I'm ok with Sherlock not returning anymore, I see TFP as very final. I'm ok with Sherlock returning in some years, probably as some special episode.
I'm interested in what they are going to do with Dracula. Is it going to be a young Dracula? Modern Dracula?
I prefer a young Dracula. I don't like much the idea of Capaldi and please leave out Jenna Coleman and anybody related to Doctor Who (although that is rather difficult because so many actors were in it).

There will always be lead roles for men of ANY age. It's not as if men ever have to wonder if there will be movies for them to star in - unlike women. And being a man, Benedict can pretend to be in his thirties until he's well into his fifties, if he wants, with actresses in their twenties as his love interests. I don't really see him doing that, though. He said he chooses roles that are interesting to him, so it's not about the money. And I think he'll remain loyal to Sherlock if they decide to keep doing it.

"Lead" roles are actually thin on the ground for ALL actors of any age. To be playing a lead is a rare privilege, not the norm. And as age goes up, so the number of "lead" roles goes down. That's just the natural way of things. And that statement of yours there, "There will always be lead roles for men of ANY age. It's not as if men ever have to wonder if there will be movies for them to star in", is just absolute nonsense.

Having watched "Being Human", in which he played a vampire, I think Aidan Turner would make a great Dracula. He has the looks and the acting talent. However I reckon he wouldn't be interested as I think he is looking to move on to bigger things via the success of Poldark, just as BC did with Sherlock.
I think Dracula needs to be someone like him though - dark and attractive.
But then what do I know, I would never have cast BC as Sherlock Holmes but he turned out to be perfect.

I hope he doesn't except if it is a short series with few episodes like Sherlock. Bond is a better role to get known. He is young he could make 3 or 4 pics. I just looked at his Imdb page and he has a romantic comedy coming this year. It doesn't say but I imagine he is the love interest.

I don't think he would do it Magda. Mind you I don't think he should do Bond either. But I guess it's still a big gig.
