Are you serious? I can’t tell. He’s probably more popular and respected than ever and TCiT got great reviews for the most part. Not everyone on Twitter liked it, but it wasn’tt that kind of drama. Some people may have had some legitimate problems with it, but Benedict’s performance was kind of universally acclaimed.

What’s your problem? I was serious about what I said because I meant that it was nice to see someone appreciate his work in this piece after all this time, since it has been quite a while since there have been comments like this on this particular play!
I am fully aware of the reactions to pretty much everything he has done. I have enough on my plate at the moment without someone jumping all over me about a simple, complimentary post, thank you. Especially since there was nothing untoward in that post at all!

I wasn’t jumping all over you and I didn’t think there was anything untoward in your post. I asked if you were serious because I couldn’t tell what your tone was from your post and because Benedict has received so much acclaim. You obviously didn’t understand my tone either. We all have things on our plates and I don’t have a problem, btw.

I just bought my ticket! Actually, I redeemed my points so the ticket was free. I only have to wait until March 1 to see it near me!

That’s wonderful Mllemass!
I am sure you will enjoy yourself double with that bargain (and seeing BC again in all his glory)!
Honestly I am surprised that it is even being shown in a small centre like our city so I was overjoyed to see it listed at our cinema.
The last time it was shown (when they also did the replay of Frankenstein the same year) it was only done at the larger cities so we had to travel about an hour and a half (to two hours) to see it.
Having it in our local cinema is a real treat!

I just saw an ad during the CBC Olympic coverage for NTLive Hamlet being broadcast on March 1st. It was glorious to see the snippets from this production again!! It won’t be in our local theatre until March 24th but I can wait. :-)
O, what a rogue and peasant slave am I - I love that play so much and BC was wonderful in the role!

Always thrills me to bits to read about how well received BC’s Hamlet is (even after all this time).
I wonder if it will ever hit a million people having viewed it???
That would be wonderful.
Honestly, that play along with his performance of Richard in The Hollow Crown are the two most favourite performances of BC’s EVER! And BC is my favourite Hamlet ever - and I have seen quite a few (on the stage and on film). I LOVED that production! And not just for BC - I thought the whole production was superb!
If they ever do put his Hamlet out on DVD... I’m there in a flash with my money waving it about saying “Me, me, me - I’m buying this!!!”

I'm going to see it tomorrow night, and we're being warned of heavy snowfall expected tomorrow night! I'm still going to go, of course, but most people aren't going to venture out on a snowy night unless they already have their tickets. That's too bad, because it's the only night it's playing. Stupid weather!
