I just remembered that I posted somewhere here some months ago how little projects Fassbender (and Tom Hiddleston) have compared to BC and Tom Hardy. I remember some fans of Fassbender and Hidleston were angry at BC for having all the projects in the world meanwhile their favorites doesn’t have almost any!
Anyway, Hiddleston is actually out there and now has a play and the Loki series but what about Fassbender? It seems some people are wondering, too.
I don’t think the reason is some bad projects in a row but the theory that he is hiding for a time so the Me Too movement don’t go against him sounds feasible. I’m not saying he is guilty or not but the reactions doesn’t seems to care anyway so having a low profile could be a good idea.
Or maybe he is just tired of movies! Anyway, I kind of feel BC has a very long hiatus right now just to remember that just last month he starred a very polemic film aired on HBO! I am anxiously waiting for some news from Berlin! We need the announcement of a new project now!!! (Apart of Rio, How to Stop Time and Dr. Strange 2!)

He's got two movies for 2019.
He should be more selective, I'm sure he doesn't need to do 4 or 5 films per year.
He also was trying his hand as a producer.

I hated what happened with The Snowman. I hoped big things for Tomas Alfredson.
He has worked with a good number of great film authors in the past, I really want BC do the same. More recently, I think he tried to create his own franchise with The Snowman and Assasin’s Creed but I think he maybe would work better as villain.
Which are his 2019 movies? I just knew about the X-Men film and a weird project with Schwarzenegger.

I'm not a huge fan of his either but I have enjoyed a few of his films immensely. One that comes to mind is A Dangerous Method, which I found fascinating. It also had equally terrific performances by Keira Knightley and Viggo Mortensen. I also think he did a good job in 12YaS, Steve Jobs and Band of Brothers. Some day I would like to see what he did in Macbeth for myself.
One film I saw and didn't like him in (or the whole movie, for that matter) was The Light Between Oceans. Really a dull, bore - totally!

I just read this comment on Twitter!
It’s the first TPOTD photo and I planned to write about that time (actually more than once!) that his and/or Tom Hiddleston fans accused BC of “stealing” roles from their faves!
It’s not a competition and obviously their careers still have many years (Fassbender finally will return with movies with David Fincher and Taika Waititi! That’s just wonderful!) but I think his issue was that he didn’t found the right franchise he wanted to own. His attempts just failed in the box office and after that it seemed he just semi-retired for a few number of years. On the other hand, BC still has the Marvel gig but more important, he just doesn’t stop working! I think I also mentioned this above! The problem is that they faves are very lazy! 😉

Michael Fassbender is still married. I'm going to use this thread because today was released Next Goal Wins, from Taika Waititi and with MF in the leading role.
The reviews are generally negative.
What I wanted to comment is the "hate" I see against him. Also in some quarters against Taika Waititi. I don't follow TW anymore. I had disabled my instagram account and I didn't refollowed him because his kind of humour bores me now and also he had make some comments I ddn't like (but luckily I don't remember anymore).
But the thing against Fassbender surprises me. I know there are allegations against him on internet but I don't know if there ever was an actual report.
Look at this:
On AW some people resumed calling him Failbender (Eddie Redmayne is Redcarpet) and many are very happy.

MagdaFR, I now don‘t want to sound like a crazy fangirl for Fassbender, but I can tell you, this hate against him drives me mad sometimes. I‘m glad you mentioned that here.
Especially on X (former Twitter), so many people (mostly women, I guess), are quick to jump in and accuse him of being an evil abuser. Don‘t get me wrong, I support the MeToo-movement and I would consider myself to be a feminist, but this is too much for me.
Hey, no-one knows what really happened between him and his now ex-girlfriend, so I‘m giving him the benefit of the doubt. She also retreated from her accusations and there are other inconsistencies.
After all, don‘t we live in a society in which there is the law of „innocent until proven guilty“?
I must admit I have been a fan of Fassbender for over 10 years now and I like his public persona, his goofiness and generally positive demeanor - which is so different from the characters he usually plays. He also said some nice things about women in general in the past.
I just don’t get all the hate… Above all, he and Vikander have been married for 6 years and also have a son now. and the way they still look at each other … don‘t get me started.
