Half of Sherlock Stan twitter believes Martin Freeman is bisexual. When you ask them to point out a time when he’s ever been in a relationship with a man, they just make up some nonsense about how he COULD be, and therefore he *is*, because it’s possible. And of course BC is gay. I suppose it’s so they can continue to Freebatch, which gives me the squicks. And when you ask them to stop shipping people in real life, they ask who’s it hurting? There’s lines that have been crossed and they don’t even know it!
It’s the same people who are all upset that BC & MF don’t like each other anymore (like they know what their actual relationship is like). 🙄

There is a fair amount of extreme shippers and especially Freebatchers who form a solid core of Septic Haters.
I am just appalled at how these supposed "fans" of Sam H. have attacked him. But of course it is all so familiar seeing that all these types use the exact playbook! The entitlement, the SJW outrage, the arrogance, the "just because I like him as an actor doesn't mean I don't have a right to point out his FLAWS!" attitude... it's all been done before!

I forgot to add another similarity between these Outlander nuts and the Septic Haters of BC/Sophie - the strong insistence that he is "hiding" his homosexuality and that his partner is a "beard".
Idiots like Fakerbatch are one of MANY Freebatchers/Haters pushing this narrative.
I agree totally BC doesn't seem the type to be "afraid" of declaring his sexuality. He's been an enthusiastic supporter of gay rights and has been closely associated with "out" men and women for most of his adult life (friends and colleagues). You don't have to be gay to be a gay rights advocate/ally. All you have to be is a decent human being - and that is the very definition of Ben.

Remember when he talked about "experimenting with his sexuality"? TBH I think the quote was kind of taken out of context because he was actually was very young when he was in that school. Extremely young! And the quote sounded to me more like he was talking about "playing the doctor" than anything actually sexual! But the "news" was everywhere! All the UK tabloids reported it as did the gay press! I think it's on his Wikipedia page! A LGBTQ group praised him on an official statement!
Maybe it's because I still remember the 90s when people like Tom Cruise would threatened journalists not just for suggesting he is gay but for saying gays loved him! We are in another time, I know, but it was great to see someone as BC not bothering to correct (or retract) what it seemed to me was a very ambiguous quote about his own sexuality. Whatever he wanted to say gay media was very happy with him but still the slash fanatics on Tumblr were angry at him and, yes, there were accusations of homophobia! Why? Because in the same gay magazine he said that, he and the journalist also joked about slash fan fiction! And that's the most "homophobic" thing someone can do! Forget Russia and its concentration camps or Iran and the death penalty, the most important political target is to force people to take slash fiction very seriously! There should not be jokes about it! A stupid Tumblr "writer" actually published something on a mainstream newspaper claiming a "middle aged straight white actor" doesn't have any right to give any opinion (including harmless little jokes) when a bunch of teen girls and middle aged weird women (she called them sexual minorities but yes, NOPE!) write sexually explicit material about him. Imagine if a male author would write something like that about a female actor! It would be Me Too material! Anyway, I remember they also harassed the author of the Out magazine article on Twitter, a gay man, accusing him of, well, homophobia!
They are ridiculous and I am glad there is a backlash against them!

This was posted a few weeks ago, but I only just saw it. They list tv shows that embarrassed similar shows that were released at the same time. Sherlock is at #1, and they are vicious about Elementary!
It starts at 10:38.
