I really don't think those photos show him in the best way. I kind of agree that they should have been outtakes. The first three make his features washed out (and what's with him sitting on a pile of stacked chairs???) and the last one the shadows on his face are in too dramatic of a pattern and distract from his facial features (that confusing pattern draws attention away from his eyes and makes the picture very unbalanced).
Why would anyone want to do this to a person like BC whose face is so interesting and dramatic enough on its own?

I bought that magazine when it came out! It was really hard to find, but I did it. The photo of him sitting on the stacks of chairs is in it.

Maybe this will make up for it? There's a lot going on in his face here. 😍 That's a lovely pix of him - not cluttered up with a lot of crappy shade streaks all over his features. Just let his intensity and beauty shine through. You don't need a lot of "tricks" when it comes to photographing BC. :-)) |

I don't dislike the photo in the chair where everything is grey. But the stacked chairs are bit pointlessly silly. And I agree that the one with the stripes on his face should have been dropped. I don't have a problem with the stripes in principle, except they don't make any sort of point, hut the lower stripe in that case just looks as if he's got something stuck up his nose! That's just too stupid! Not a good photographer at all.

There wasn't a working purpose to them other than looking around to see what daft thing they could perch him on, for the sake of it. |

Yeah, lol. Photo shoot on a budget. "Lessee, we got a bunch of chairs they stacked out here because they're shampooing the carpet in the ballroom, so why don't you take your shoes off and climb on those?"
