I normally hate all the BS gangsta talk but I have to admit, when addressed to Weinstein that Paul Sorvino threat was honestly a satisfying read.

Now Stan Lee is accused of harassing his nurses. We may have to move this to the Dr. Strange thread. Edward St Aubyn will be next until all BC projects end up on hold indefinitely, LOL.

He's 95! Of course, no one should put up with being groped, but I'm pretty sure that nurses, especially those caring for elderly men, are trained to deal with these situations. Isn't that an occupational hazard?
A few years ago, my father had to have surgery during a time that the hospital was being renovated, so he was put into a room with three other old men. During my visits there, I saw more wrinkled old body parts than I ever thought I would in my lifetime (not my father, though - thank goodness!). The entire ward was full of old men and women temporarily transferred there from other departments, and most didn't bother covering up in front of other people.

I think the easiest thing at this point would just be to arrest every man in the film industry and have done with it! The trouble with this kind of thing is it always gets silly, with the original issue ending up being undermined. Harvey Weinstein was a powerful businessman in full possession of his commercial and physical powers.
Stan Lee is a 95 year old man frail enough to need Nurses to look after him and does not wield Weinstein like influence over careers. In any event innappropriate behaviours of all sorts are frequently associated with advanced age due to cognative decline.
So hopefully the pack will hold off on the tar and feathers for now!

I agree on Stan Lee. One of the accusations is walking around naked in front of the nurses, but wouldn't your nurse see you naked anyway? And unfortunately we're reaching the point that people are tired of hearing about harassment, and react angrily to the victims for talking about it, instead of the harassers for doing it. Accusing someone who probably has dementia is not helpful. Here's a note of comedy. Probably where HW is in hiding, the "Some Sort of Therapy Centre": twitter.com/hashtag/traceyullman?lang=en

I would have said that if you hadn't, Ellie. Unfortunately, inappropriate criticism of what isn't actually culpable "abuse" undermines real abuse.

I don't know about Robert Rodríguez.
Anyway Rose McGowan makes me cringe. It is as if everything should be about her.
Look at this tweet:
Yes, probably many of the "progressives" are hypocrites but her asking them to support her is more or less the same.

Yes, I don't think she is 100% well. Just read the profile I linked: the journalist is undoubtedly on her side but she admits she is over the top about her "martyrdom" and quotes her saying that having to film a wedding scene "robbed her of the real experience". Then she goes saying how much actors sacrifice for their audiences!
Also her childhood, summarized there, is really disturbing!
She is publishing an autobiographical book. It's possible that the first Rodriguez's statement saying he helped her against Weinstein was because he knew he was in the book but I doubt he sold the movie to him after finishing it and she didn't know the Weinsteins were involve. Rodriguez even said they put the money which it's obvious considering it's a Tarantino project.
