It may seem a bit on the pricey side but it isn't when you consider the price of good quality theatre tickets.
And when Hamlet was shown in the cinema for a one time event, the two of us still paid more for a pair of tickets to see that than the one month subscription costs.
Now we can get a whole month of watching Hamlet (and rewatching it AND Frankenstein, along with the ability to see lots of other productions) with this subscription and see it whenever we want to!

Yes, that’s true! I would still prefer to sit and watch these shows in an actual movie theatre on a big screen, though. But not’s not an option!

And it may not be an option for quite some time.
Of course the advantages of a big screen make it a superior quality, both in a visual and auditory sense, but watching something at home has a lot of advantages as well (especially nowadays!).
And home screens are relatively large, sound systems are pretty sophisticated and streaming services offer HD quality, so added to the fact that you won't catch a deadly disease... I'm fairly certain I can be VERY satisfied with streaming my entertainment for quite a while.
Dan and I have decided that for us, even after our two week "probation" period is up, we won't be going into risky situations (like going to larger group events like cinemas or hockey games) until sometime in 2022 at the earliest.
So streaming is our go-to solution for the foreseeable future.

Speaking of high quality streaming services, you should see the beauty of Dr. Strange on Disney’s ultra 4HD streaming. It’s…gorgeous. More so than I remember from the theater showing. Sharp, clear, the colors are amazing, the cinematography pops, and Ben looks just 🤤 😍
