So what do you think this means for his acting projects? Will this now take up all of his time, or is "president" really just an honorary title? It seems to be a permanent position - the previous guy was there forever!
At the university that I attended, the president is provided housing nearby. It's a huge, gorgeous mansion in the wealthiest neighbourhood in the city, but it comes with the job. I wonder if they will do the same thing with Benedict.

Between this and his production company, I foresee less of BC on our screens in the future. Complaints from the neighbors about remodeling projects in 3...2...1... LOL

I don’t think this will impact on his acting schedule. The role of President is non executive so he won’t be actively involved on the day to day running of the place. His prduction company seems to be fuelling lots of acting work for him so I think he will still be very much on screen.
However he is definitely on the way to becoming much more than an actor and turning into an influential creative industry figure in general. It all fits with his often stated intention to plan for a long career in the business rather than just pursue stardom.

It does sound like a wonderful opportunity. I'm just wondering selfishly, how often "Joanna and the staff, and Shaun and the Board of Trustees" will expect his presence.

I’d say he will be able to do a lot remotely but would be expected at key meetings/events.
President is really more of a figurehead.
How much BC is actively will be involved will be largely up to him and how open the management are to his ideas because I’ve no doubt BC will have some!😀

I can certainly understand him wanting to create some job security while his children are growing up. Between this and his production company, he can spend more time at home (London) with his family. But I think he's a long way from retiring from acting! He grew up accompanying his mother to her acting jobs, so I can see him continuing that with his own children. And besides, he likes the spotlight too much to spend all his time behind the camera or behind a desk.

I’m pretty sure it’s an honorary title, meaning no remuneration, but gobs of status. I’m so happy for him! The angels really did shower him with blessings, didn’t they? He’s so wonderful. 😍

I don’t think it’s an honorary position. It looks like the President is head of the Board of Trustees (similar to a Board of Directors). The Board would make financial and policy decisions for the organization and oversee its future artistic direction and growth. They would probably also hire top staff do fundraising. It sounds like a position with a lot of power and responsibility. As with a member of a Board if Directors, there will probably be some compensation.

I found this in one of the articles:
So is this part of the job, or is it the whole job of president?
