Adam Mckay and Will Ferrell should totally get Benedict Cumberbatch for their Manimal reboot. Thousands of women would crowd the theaters to see him tear out of his clothes.

I had no idea of what Manimal was although the name was suggestive. I googled it. Was it any good?
Why do you think it is a good role for BC?

There have been a lot! The newest: The Daily Mail is saying he could play older version of the Duke of Edinburgh/Matt Smith role in The Crown!

I saw his name mentioned in an article, but isn't he too young to play opposite Olivia Coleman? Prince Phillip is older than the queen. I suppose they could age him with makeup, but then why not just use aging makeup on Matt Smith?
I don't see this working.

I doubt that rumour has any basis. He’s too busy for one thing. Just the DM being the DM. Did they manage to mention his name without adding Migrants, Left Wingers, Luvvies, Posh and Pro Remainer? If so then it’s progress indeed.

This random tweet in Arabic suggests BC could play Prince Charles to an also hypothetical Emily Watson's Princess Diana in a future Ryan Murphy's Feud.

I haven’t finished read this long form article about Christopher Steele but I have seen a few tweets by people thinking BC would be perfect in a hypothetical film adaptation (even when BC is younger!):

It’s not a rumored crazy role but I just remembered when BC said he would like to play a part (he didn’t say which one) in an adaptation of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. It was probably earlier than when he said he wanted to play Patrick Melrose. Imagine the very few people who ara criticizing him for playing a 20-something (who will later grow old!). If I remember well, the main characters are (American Jew) teenagers and very young adults during most of the story! The most wonderful part is that the great Michael Chabon and his wife were so excited with him saying it that they tweeted/posted somewhere a message directed to him saying they would love having him in the adaptation (the project have been for years in development hell!)
