I don’t want him to do this. Surely there’s a Hemsworth available who could use the work! And I think Kristen Stewart is all wrong for Diana, too.

This must be a joke.
BC doesn't look like Charles at all.
Lol "there's a Hermsworth available" that's very funny.
No more biopics for a while.

He doesn't look like Prince Charles AT ALL but Kirsten Stewart doesn't look like Diana neither!
Agreed that no more bios... except if they are directed by someone like Larraín!
Anyway if they really plan to release Doctor Strange sequel on March 2022, he should be preparing to shoot it early next year.

I am seeing fans on Twitter being terrified with the idea of him playing Charles! LOL Someone said she would agreed but not in this project. Why?! I think the opposite, I wouldn't like him playing Charles in a Hallmark type of film or in that Ryan Murphy thing he planned to do but I would love to see him working with this director! This seems to be an interesting film made by a respected filmmaker so why not?
Again, it most probably won't happened because he surely will try to keep his agenda free for the next Doctor Strange movie next year and things are so insecure right now that it's difficult to know exactly when they will do it. Good for him to have a well paid project in doors but because that I can't see him attached to other stuff in the imminent future.

I think should go for any role he wants and not give a shit (and I highly doubt he does) about what "fans" on social media think whether he should do a role or not. As far as him not looking like Prince Charles - he didn't necessarily look like Dominic Cummings particularly but thanks to a total commitment by him and clever makeup and wardrobe he was transformed into a very believable DC. Same for his role in The Courier. And while it could be argued that his character in The Courier wasn't well enough known publiclyto be recognisable, the same can't be said for DC. His face is pretty familiar to a lot of people I'd have to think.
If the director is signficant or interesting, if the material is well written and thoughtful, and /or if he has enough of an opening in his schedule, then why shouldn't he do any role. I trust BC's instincts enough to be fairly confident he would do things intelligent material. If this Royal family drama ever comes to fruition I'll be there watching his part in that project.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo against this project. Not that it’s anything but clickbait and fancasting, but please. We’ve got enough stories about Charles and Di. Let the woman Rest In Peace. I just can’t imagine any plot or story that hasn’t been told, or that would dredge up more interest in that sad and agonizing tale of manipulation and betrayal. It’s crap, and there’s no angle that would make it anything but crap.
I have no doubt BC would bring his usual professionalism to any role, but this one? Yech. Total yech.

I agree! I keep trying to picture an interview where he’s explaining why he wanted to play this role, and I can’t come up with anything. His usual “I always wanted to play Prince Charles” or “It was an important story to tell” or “I wanted to challenge myself as an actor” or even “It sounded like fun!” just don’t sound right.

It’s crap, and there’s no angle that would make it anything but crap. I have no doubt BC would bring his usual professionalism to any role, but this one? Yech. Total yech. Larrain is good in finding very human, complex and new angles on very known historical events. He made three movies about Chile's dictatorship. All of them extremely different and original: one from the point of view of a psychopath obsessed with winning a John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever imitation contest; another one from a mortician working on Salvador Allende's body and a comedy which looks like filmed with a VHS recorder camera about the guy making the TV ads for the opposition during the referendum in 1988. There is also another one about Neruda but I haven't watched it! The obvious comparison is his film about Jackie Kennedy which again it's about a famous event and a very popular woman but the movie is actually more about grief and surviving to it when everyone is looking at you. It's a bio but at the same time, it feels like a movie about any normal woman coming to terms with the fact that she is suddenly a widow. So again, a movie with a cliche theme by an interesting filmmaker is a big yes, by others not so much.

Lol good try, Sgev, but I’m still a no. Even Jackie Kennedy’s life hasn’t undergone the scrutiny and number of biopics that Di’s has. We literally know everything about her, her arranged marriage, her use and manipulation of the press, her trying to free herself from the tabloid bullshittery, the paparazzi, her search for love, her devotion to political causes, her sorrow, motherhood, fashion sense, fights with the Queen, eating disorders. etc., etc. I just don’t see an unplumbed depth to that woman’s life that would compel me to go to a movie about it, even if BC were playing Charles. 🙏🏻

I'm not interested either. lol
