Wow! Exciting news! SunnyMarch is moving forward and gathering talent to guide the company! Far From the Madding Crowd was one of my most favourite films in 2015. Nice to see the company keeping with its commitment to put women in positions of top decision making!
:-))
Ooo! Gosh! I was so excited about the SunnyMarch news that I forgot to read the other half of your post sgev!
Let It Come Down. I like that for a title better than Rio or Let it Fall Back. Rio didn’t apply any more and I am not fond of one word titles for the most part. And Let It Fall Back seems more awkward to the ear than Let it Come Down. At least to my ear! And I just got a copy of How to Stop Time today in the post. Can’t wait to read it. I have also ordered the Patrick Melrose novels but they won’t be here until April.

Also I think it should be mentioned that the rest of that Variety story is pretty good news too.
Look at all the other women in decision making positions -
Bravo to BC and AA for hauling in talented women to the company!
I also noted that they still have Rogue Male on their slate of “to do” projects as well as “The End We Start From”. Yay to both!!!

Let it come Down is EXACTLY the name of Paul Bowles book. The one Guadagnino mentioned as one of his favorites in a recent interview. Leah Clarke has worked for years in Danny Boyle’s own company, DNA. It should be a great opportunity for her and at the same time, it’s cool for Sunny March that she has that experience with Boyle, Alex Garland and company. I wasn’t a fan of How To Stop Time book. I am glad they hired a competent scriptwriter with a traditional style and I hope he can fix the story and the one dimensional secondary characters. I feel bad saying negative things about it because I follow the writer on Twitter and he seems a good guy but also very sensitive to negative comments. Can you believe it!

I follow Matt on Twitter, too. He’s had a rough time with depression and anxiety, so that leads me to believe he’s a highly sensitive person. Criticism is difficult for that type of person. If I recall correctly, he’s been a little down recently.

Hope BC isn’t solely responsible for paying all those salaries! Great news otherwise.

Yes. But that means he foots the bills doesn’t it? Doubt the Company has made much money yet & Adam Ackland doesn’t seem to be affluent.

He is the big name indeed and they haven't had released too many of their projects although StudioCanal bought a part of the company (20%) at least in the TV side so some of the money should come from it and they recently said their until now only project together, The Child in Time was selling well around the world.
They mention a lot of women at the end of it but I guess it's just to show there are a lot of women working in the company. They aren't new hirings. If you check them on IMDb they were all working for SunnyMarch since The Child in Time shooting.
