Some people are a little late in discovering Patrick Melrose, but it’s still nice to read such praise. The whole thread is good:

Well, I'm really glad that one fellow found and was impressed with PM but a bit peeved that another person in the thread had been recommending that people NOT watch it because she thought it was a "tough watch"!
The real kick in the face though is that this person is a writer who has a project with SUNNYMARCH FFS! Wow! Someone needs to have a "talk" with her!

Ha! She loved it, tho. She just thought it wasn't an eady watch.
The other day I saw a conversation about it that included a professional TV critic and when someone claimed she hasn't watched it because it seemed difficult for a second I thought it was the critic herself but no she was the one recommending it, her friend was the one scared of it!
But at least one prominent TV critic from The Guardian finished it months after it was released because she found it very difficult.

When I recommended it to one particular friend, I knew that some parts might be especially upsetting for her. But instead of warning her, I asked her to stay with it, even when it gets difficult to watch, because life does get better for Patrick.

It's on a tweet but it's not a tweet reaction but a celebrity reaction. This guy is a popular Spanish actor who become a major Netflix star with a series called La Casa de Papel. I haven't watched it but a lot of people talk about it!
