I have seen some speculation that Dr. Strange will be in the next Spider-Man movie. Some posters on Reddit said Mysterio (a character I don’t have any idea who is!) will be the next villain and apparently he represents a supernatural threat in which Strange could help. They also think that’s one of the reasons why they paired BC and Tom Holland in the interviews. And there are people reacting to the news of a casting call for the shooting in London: |

Ha! I remember I hoped something similar with Sherlock since the second series! He seriously teased then that Sherlock maybe wasn't come back even when you watched him at the end of the episode!!!! It took too long to end!!!
I can see why to carry on with a franchise like this one could be very comfortable for an actor. You have a secure work for years. And it's ok to me if he still doing other more edgy things at the same time. Right now I'm happy with his other projects:TCIT, Patrick Melrose and the prospect of his collaboration with Guadagnino.
I just hope he doesn't end like Downey Jr. doing just commercial stuff. Right now, it seems he is using the Marvel platform to do the crazy risky stuff he always wanted to do and I'm happy with that!
