He has done voiceovers for pet food, Jaguar and Pimm's. And TV ads starring himself, in China, for Dunlop tires. He's also brand ambassador or whatever, for Jaeger-LeCoultre watches (the brand Dr. Strange wears.) Probably others that I have forgotten. Those Dunlop commercials were hilarious! Didn't he also do a VW commercial (or some other little car)? There were even videos of him filming it. It was a James Bond type of thing.

He is complete sell-out! 😉 But this kind of things pay risky projects as Patrick Melrose and The Child in Time and important stuff as giant sheds!!! So it totally worth it!

I'm glad you said that because I was thinking it but I didn't wanna be the only who thought that. I love BC, but that is def selling out. Still gonna love him.

I remember Buster Keaton, when he got older, started doing a lot of commercials. He said he enjoyed them because they were easy, didn’t take much time, and kept his mortgage paid up. Ben loves to work, these gigs probably pay rather well, so why shouldn’t he? I don’t have a problem with him shilling whatever he likes. He’s got a growing family to support. 😃

I have no problem with him doing these ads. He's an actor, and commercials are just another acting job. He's never been a snob about the jobs he takes on, like some other actors. So once he made it big in films, he didn't turn away from tv, stage, or radio roles. For me, the only problem with commercials might be overexposure - it's not as exciting waiting for his next big miniseries if we see him selling tires on tv every day! But most of his commercials are made specifically for certain countries so we don't get to see them unless we search for them online.

He did a lot of voice overs for TV ads before being famous, too. I think for him, like a lot of actors, is just about the work. He is not the only one out there if it helps. Twitter doesn’t stop show me Jake Gyllenhaal announcing something (I haven’t took the time to see what is is!!!) And we had a lot of billboards with people like Ryan Reynolds and Chris Hemsworth selling alcoho beverage some time ago. Stallone has a series of dumb TV ads promoting a local beer.

Yes, let's get our priorities in order! He did TV ad voiceovers long before he became famous, so it's not like it's a new thing. We just see him in the ads now.
