Ha! Actually, we have a Mountain, too, in the city where I live. Visitors are usually baffled by it ("This is a mountain?"), because it's really a hill. But we still call it a mountain, and we say that people there are "on the mountain". Oh,yes the Escarpment! It feels like a mountain when you are trying to get up it!!! It really gives the region a very unique micro-climate and leads to excellent wines!!! :-))

Here in Colorado we scoff at your “mountains.” HaHa! Flatlanders, the lot of you.
I love where I live, too. Beautiful views of the Mountains, more than 300 days of sunshine a year, dry air, lots of trees, mountain lions and bears. Very nice. It’s a small town feel, very liberal, very friendly, with a big university and a lot (too many) kale eaters.

I had kale and spinach salad with stuffed mushrooms for lunch yesterday QZ. 😄. I’m out & proud Kale eater. 🥗 Here’s the cliff walk near my house. It’s lovely when the sun is shining which, in Ireland, is not very often!

That's gorgeous! It looks a lot like parts of Nova Scotia, which is probably why so many people from Ireland settled there after arriving in Canada.

It is beautiful. The main thing I remember about your city, Ellie, is driving around in a parking lot whilst me mum tried to figure out the right hand drive, lol. And perhaps I should have said SMUG kale eaters, which I’m sure you are not. Everyone in my city is gluten free, sugar free, dairy free, cruelty free, vegans who gasp in horror when you salt your food. Except me. 😁

I’m not Vegan just vegetarian: I eat eggs and dairy products. And I could never give up sugar entirely. Your town sounds a lot like the image Portland, Oregon has.
Yes Milemass, it is lovely round the coast where I live but all too often the view is obscured by rain. That’s the worst thing about Ireland, we never get a proper stretch of summer that isn’t interrupted every few days by more rain but I guess it keeps the landscape green!

I started watching this because of your comments.
I like the Crabtree, Murdoch, Brackenreid interaction.
I'm getting bored of the Murdoch/Julia relationship. I'm in season 5.

You still have a long, long way to go, with lots of ups and downs in their relationship. So you'd better get used to it!

I only saw this comment today. I now know what you meant, mllemass. I don't know why I don't like Julia, perhaps is the actress. I still have some seasons to watch. I think my favourite character is Crabtree.

mllemass Is Murdoch Mysteries ending? Brackenreid is returning to the UK and Murdoch has just resigned.
