The official video for the song. I guess technically Benedict is part of it because that’s his laugh we hear at the end.

I haven’t seen this trailer before. It seems to have spoilers, so don’t watch it if spoilers bother you!

This isn’t trailer, but it’s a video about the movie. There are lots of spoilers so you might not want to watch this until you’ve seen the movie.

They’ll probably only be able to call it #1 for one week, so we should enjoy the celebration while it lasts!

Several Christmas cartoons are on tv tonight, including How the Grinch Stole Christmas - which I just watched. It’s as cute as ever! But now, having seen the new Grinch, this cartoon seems way too short. It feels like they cut out all the scenes from the movie, which I realize makes no sense.
They had ads for The Grinch during the show, including one of those crawling ads across the bottom of the tv screen. But then near the end, they had an ad saying to stay tuned for a new Grinch Short. It was a short little video about Max. The Grinch is in bed with a bad cold, and when he runs out of tea, Max goes to the kitchen to make more. But he finds the tea tin empty so he takes a coin and heads for Whoville. The owner of the store won’t let him in, but Max finds a way to get the tea and pay for it. He returns home and brings the Grinch his tea. It was very cute, with a sweet ending, just like the movie. The only speaking in it was a few words from the man in the store, but otherwise there was no dialogue. The Grinch only coughed and sneezed and made little noises, so Benedict wouldn’t have been part of it. I’m sure Illumination will post the video online.

Years ago I bought the two Despicable Me Blu-Rays, for my nephews (one is a double feature with one of those movies and Coraline!) and they contain a good number of shorts with the characters. Mostly the Minions, I think. Probably they would do the same with The Grinch or just Max.

I never watched any of Illumination's movies, I think. I watched Coraline because Gaiman!

That’s not an Illumination movie but both are by Universal. Anyway it was a weird pairing. Coraline is dark meanwhile Illumination movies are cute and harmless flicks for young kids.
