The rights sold very quickly. In comparison: Guadagnino's movie which sounded cooler was also announced at Cannes but a good number of territories were still available at Berlin early this year (there is a PDF posted in the thread). I guess it's because the script...and BC, of course!
There is not an American distributor announced yet but the other company (not Sunny March) has a deal with Netflix. I hope they release it on the big screen, tho.

Who do you think could play the Russian spy? Would they hire a Russian actor or a Brit?
Someone mentioned Rory Kinner and I think that’s a good idea. Although Rory Kinner is always a good idea! He kind of looks like the real man but it would be nice if they hire a Russian, too. It should be someone around BC’s age, I think!

Is this the end, when he was released? He had a very affected accent. I hope BC doesn't try to copy it. He is great imitating them but sometimes people just don't understand what he is doing. Example, Billy Bulger and his real life weird accent. I was happy he didn't try to sound like Edward St Aubyn in Patrick Melrose. He looked a lot like him! But he didn't tried the super duper almost unreal posh accent of the real man! |
