I totally understand why he tries to never talk about his family. Social media but also modern journalism are just too crazy and too malicious.
Clooney is different. He is from another generation of movie stars. His fame is pre-social media and pre-Internet gossip culture . Sure! There are conspiracy theories around him and his wife but at the time he married he was already an established Hollywood figure. He become famous when famous people were protected by the system: their own pr but also journalists who did not wanted to offend Hollywood studios.
BC is different. Sherlock was an Internet phenomenon. He was an Internet star before being a Hollywood one. He wasn't famous in the real world (as he is now!) but the Internet was obsessed with him and the Internet is a wild zone. It's not just deluded fans who could fabricate things about him but in general the Internet gossip culture (the idea that BC lied about his marriage and even the pregnancy of his wife to win an Oscar came from that Lainey woman who later made fun of his deluded fans for believe the same! At the time, those awful gossip columnists were very popular and their dumb conspiracy theories about celebrities were taken seriously) and even mainstream publications that were desperate for clicks. A lot of "respected" outlets don't doubt in publishing out of context quotes, misinterpreted facts and random Twitter reactions if they could obtain some clicks from them.
So my theory is that someone like Clooney feels protected and comfortable talking about his kids. BC doesn't. I wouldn't if I were him.

I wondered, too, if the youngest is a girl. We don’t know for sure if Finn is the correct spelling or if it’s even the correct name. It’s hard to tell from the clothing because lots of families pass along clothes to younger siblings even if they’re mixed boys and girls. Very young children have no idea if something they’re wearing is for a boy or a girl.
On the other hand, I also know families who finally have a girl and are so happy to be able to buy girly-looking clothes in pretty colours.

My theory is that Finn is a girl, and he feels extra protective. We never heard official word about the name or gender of the youngest. Maybe a rumor spread because someone assumed 'Finn' was short for Finnegan, when it is actually Finlay or something. Googling 'Finn' it can be a unisex name. Check the baby's pink boots and purple scooter (not that a boy couldn't have them.) BC might even wonder if the haters' animosity toward any female in his life extends to his child, as a proxy for Sophie. It would explain why he announced the pregnancy, but nothing later on (after they would have found out the gender.) Could be, but I would guess the scooter is Hal's since there's only 2 scooters and the little one is probably too little for using one.

The kids all have the same pants on, but they aren't particularly a 'boy' or 'girl' color. It reminds me of families with several children to keep track of, who put everyone in the same bright t-shirt so they are easy to spot. Especially if they are as active as BC was at that age!

The reason I thought of George Clooney’s situation because before his marriage, he had been a “confirmed bachelor” for years. He had been married years ago, but then went years dating lots of different women. He started sounding like a broken record every time he was asked if his latest relationship was serious. He always, always answered that he would never get married. Eventually, people figured that he didn’t believe in marriage and they stopped asking him about it.
When his marriage to Amal was announced, the public reaction was that it wouldn’t last. He was a bachelor/playboy! He didn’t believe in marriage! I saw interviews where he was asked what made him change his mind about marriage, and he said that he hadn’t changed his mind at all. He had been lying to the media for years to get them to stop asking about his love life. He always believed in love, marriage, family - but it was nobody’s business.

I’m curious about those pictures now. If the little one doesn’t have a scooter, why is he wearing a helmet in a couple of the pictures? Benedict is carrying him, but he’s not strapped onto to him yet. I think there’s a little scooter that they put away (maybe in Sophie’s bag) when he got tired and wanted to be carried.

We are probably reading too much into the pictures now, lol. But, I would guess that since the baby is never wearing the helmet that the helmet and the scooter both are Hal's and Benedict is carrying whatever he can. Unless I'm missing a shot somewhere where the baby has the helmet on.

Yes, the baby is wearing a light-blue helmet in the pictures where Benedict his holding him and he’s not strapped on yet. Not everyone on Weibo has the same pictures.
I figured both the baby’s helmet and scooter (if there is one) have been put away in the later pictures.

Could be Fionn, short for Fionnuala? I'm just taking this theory and running with it. BC finally has a little girl, hooray!

Maybe Finn wanted to try the scooter, thus the helmet, which belongs to Hal, got transferred?
I’m gonna have to start a 300 part fanfic about this series of pictures, aren’t I? 😂
