He really accidentally landed in the ideal situation for the pandemic. Nice to clear everything up.

Well hurrah! 😀 Confirmation at last that all is ok with baby No. 3. Fans breathe sighs of relief. Septics gnash their teeth - well their gums as I imagine they’ve worn their teeth away by now.

Nice too that Wanda and Tim are with them too. I guess that's what they meant when initial reports said he was traveling with an "entourage"! Yesterday I almost comment that I though it was possible that his parents were there because of the "entourage" thing.
The meltdown in sewage corner!!
"Is this work or a family outing?" asks one of them. Are they stupid? Why it can't be both? Work for BC and familiy outing for the others. It was summer in New Zealand, you idiots! New Zealand is beautiful and there are lots of things to do. Also, isn't Emily in Australia? I'm sure they met.

I’ve only had to do a small amount of travelling for work over the years, but when it has involved air travel, I’ve taken family with me. I’ve also extended the trip by at least a couple of days so that we had free time to do stuff together. Fortunately, the hotel stay was always paid for by my employer, so I only had to pay for additional flights. I brought my sister with me a few times, and when she couldn’t make it, I brought my parents along (they drove me insane, but hey - they’re my parents!).

Well, we were expecting the general media to get wind of Baby #3 eventually and that day has arrived. The DM article about BC isolating in NZ has been edited and now clearly states : "The actor is isolating with his wife Sophie Hunter and his three children as well as his parents who are in their 80s." And further down it says : "The star's representative told MailOnline: 'Benedict was advised to stay put. Filming shut down so close to the New Zealand lockdown that Benedict and Sophie decided to take that advice and not to risk 24 hours' travel for the three under five children and Benedict’s octogenarian parents. 'It was also out of consideration for how best to get the film completed for Jane Campion that he has stayed in accommodation that production helped to find and finance. 'He is currently in pre-production and due to restart filming in June. Once that filming is complete he is looking forward to immediately returning home to the UK.' " So, I expect more papers and media outlets will be carrying the "3 children" from now on. Nice too that Wanda and Tim are with them too. I guess that's what they meant when initial reports said he was traveling with an "entourage"! He is very close to his parents and he has took them with him to long shootings before. Most of his movies are done in the UK but for example, when he had to spend months doing the Star Trek movie in LA, he was visited by his parents at certain point. There was a nice quote somewhere by Wanda Venthan criticizing the numerous takes to do just one scene claiming she used to done two or three for UFO! LOL!

Wanda is fabulous, isn’t she? A classy, outspoken woman. Remember when she criticized Ben’s nose as being unsuitable for playing Sherlock? And in the early days of the mania surrounding him, chastising rabid fans b/c Ben’s “just an actor.,” and we should all calm down, lol. She cracks me up. And his dad seems like such a sweet, mellow guy. You can really see the combination of their personalities in Ben.
I’m sure BC wants to spend as much time with them as possible, given their advancing ages. And it must be lovely for his THREE children to be able to have their grandparents so near.
I’m full of heart eyes today for that family. 🥰😍

I searched for the quote and it's actually from one of the Caitlin Moran pieces. They are fluffy articles but also adorable because he is slightly more open with her than he is with other journalists. Also in this one she also met with his parents! benedictcumberbatch.co.uk/interviews/the-times-magazine-whats-not-to-love-about-benedict-cumberbatch/I love the quote because I swear Martin Landau's Bela Lugosi said almost the same in Tim Burton's Ed Wood. He claims the C-list filmmaker is a genius because he only does one takes meanwhile he used to do numerous ones in big Hollywood films! I'm not saying UFO is a C-list series, of course!

Well at least the house they’re staying in is big enough that they can all have their own space. Because no matter how much you love your immediate and extended family, nigh on three months stuck in a house with three small kids and two Octogenarians is going to get a bit much at times. I expect Sophie, in particular, has probably gone for a few long walks. Extended time with the in laws can be difficult. 😀
