It snowed here last night too! Can't believe when the looong day is done we'll be in 27 C weather for 3 weeks! Traveling to warmer climes is something we just don't do.
Already to board the Robert Q bus for Toronto. Our flight doesn't leave until 9:20 pm so it's going to be a long travel day. But I am thrilled the adventure starts today!

It’s snowing right now where I live, but enjoy your trip to warm India! Bon voyage! Here is already 26 degrees C and some places 30 but it feels very hot. Any time now I'll start going to the beach. I always find funny when you all talk about snow when we're melting.

I spent almost two hours this morning shovelling out from the record snowfall we had overnight. So I look forward to seeing your photos!

I have a heat rash on my legs! Something I never thought I'd have in November!
We saw the Taj Mahal yesterday and it was gorgeous!

A friend of mine has her husband’s relatives from India come and stay with them here almost every summer. They like to go where it’s cooler during the hottest weather in India, but they often complain that our Canadian summer can get a bit too cold. They have no interest in experiencing our winter.

Sorry to have been so tardy with my travels! It's just that the days are so PACKED we are usually exhausted when we get back to the hotel!
Even though we were 2 days late arriving with the tour, we haven't missed anything!
Thanks to our fabulous tour guide we were able to see all the important sites including of course the jewel in the crown - the Taj Mahal!
But we saw many other sites too! The Amber fort was particularly impressive!
We saw beautiful buildings in Jaipur and then moved onto a small rural village called Pachewar. We stayed in an old fort that is being converted into a beautiful hotel. Our room was bigger than a lot of apartments. The walls were about 3 feet thick.
We had the honour of being invited into a home of one of the residents who made some local treats on her small clay fire. I got some spectacular photos of her working.
The trip took an unusual turn when the next day while traveling back to New Delhi a transport truck rammed our bus from behind and destroyed many pieces of luggage ( including one of our bags)!
Needless to say this caused a HUGE delay but that was really small potatoes because thankfully everyone was uninjured!
After a long delay we finally made it into ND (where we were able to replaced the smashed baggage). The whole thing was actually a bonding experience!
The next day about 7 of us were off to Kathmandu Nepal!
Today was our first day of touring this magical city.
We went on a walking your of all the ancient temples and stupas. We had lunch a an organization that rescues sex trade victims and trains then to be paralegals who are then sent out to help other victims. Inspirational!
Anyway, tomorrow we are going to fly around Mt. Everest! But the event leaves the hotel at 5 am. Got to go to dinner and then straight to bed!!

One Kathmandu pic... Having trouble with the pics loading. Even the screenshot trick didn't work. I'll keep trying...
