I just saw an ad for A Confession, a new mini-series starting on tv here on Monday. It caught my attention because it stars Martin Freeman. I looked it up on IMDB, and it’s actually from 2019. There was another familiar face in the ad - the actor who played Mike Stamford in Sherlock. It will be so nice to see those two old pals together again this Sherlock mini-reunion! (Although I have no idea if they’ll actually be acting in scenes together!)

Did you like it? I watched it last week too....I think it is an almost unbelievable example to see that the law is sometimes not just at all....

There are a few things that Martin has done that I haven’t liked. But I really liked Breeders, Fargo and that weird zombie movie!

Did you like it? I watched it last week too....I think it is an almost unbelievable example to see that the law is sometimes not just at all.... I don’t think I ended up watching it. There are a few things that Martin has done that I haven’t liked. But I really liked Breeders, Fargo and that weird zombie movie! I find I don’t have the stomach for Breeders - seething anger in a family setting strikes too much of a nerve for me to be able to enjoy the comedy and ‘relatability’ of it. But I thought Cargo, the zombie film, was quite good and thought provoking. Unless you meant The Worlds End, which was a kind of a zombie / kind of an aliens take over the world thing, in which case I still give 2 thumbs up. Disclosure- I watched TWE with some friends the day we returned from a road trip ... one that had involved a bit of drama / comedy of errors regarding rotaries/roundabouts... and we’d all had a bit to drink before turning on the movie, and we laughed ourselves silly over it. I highly recommend it if you’re in a silly mood and enjoy the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost/Edgar Wright style of humor.

Yes, it was Cargo that I meant. Although I did see the Simon Pegg movie, too. I forgot that Martin was in that!

So, he was in projects called both Cargo and Fargo? Or is that a typo?

And after that, Largo, a remake of the Bogart/Bacall vehicle.
Gargo, about a giant snail rampaging thru the forests of the Congo. Sargo, about rescuing baby turtles trapped in flotsam on the Sargasso Sea Wargo, about hunting warthogs in the African bush
Okay, I’m sorry…I’ll stop.
