I just finished it, too. I hated the watermarks. I was about to quit it because that but at the same time, I didn’t want to touch anything because your experience! Lol
It’s a nice entertaining conventional little movie. Probably it would be better with less scenes of the intelligence agents. I understand they are sometimes there to explain things but you don’t need to explain everything. Rachel Brosham is kind of wasted with a mostly thankless role but I enjoyed Jesse Buckley more here than in Chernobyl. She was in more scenes that I imagined she would be and it’s not true that her character is just “the wife”. I mean she is the wife but she kind of have some inner life and conflicted emotions . She isn’t the stupid wife like in Chernobyl. She is intelligent without being preaching. She is not the typical wife who is only there to tell the husband what to do. She actually reacts like a human being to her husband antics.
Both BC and Merab Ninidze are brilliant as everyone says it. In general, the acting is the strongest part of the film.
The last scenes are indeed shocking. I thought I would be prepared because we all saw BC when he was extremely thin for this role but the impression on screen is much stronger.

I found the most recent checklist posted here of stuff he does in movies. I hope these aren’t spoilers! -Crying✔️ -Running - we’ve already seen behind-the-scenes pictures of him running ✖️ -Swimming/bathing/being under water✔️ -Being naked (well, if he’s going to be in water anyway...)✔️ -drinking beverages angrily✔️ I was thinking when he was swimming/bathing/being under water. I, of course, imagined him in an elegant bathtub like in Patrick Melrose but I think you are referring to the ugly jail shower at the end! Lol

I just checked Amazon Prime Videos, and they do have The Courier. It’s $14.99. Apparently they give you 30 days to watch it, but 3 days to finish it once you start. I guess that means you can only watch it once?

Nothing on TIFF yet. When I contacted the chat line the rep told me it would be released on April 16th but I didn't ask about what time on the 16th so I don't know exactly when today it will show up. I may watch it on Prime instead.

I just checked Cogeco on Demand (from my cable provider) and it’s there now, too. They even have the trailer playing on a loop while you search for films. I didn’t see it listed yet on Cineplex.
It’s the same price - $14.99 - on Cogeco. Now it’s just a matter of choosing where my money will go - to Amazon or my cable company?
