I’m sorry but this sounds horrible to me. Maybe it’s because my anxiety is at an all time high this morning after a terrible night of insomnia, but YUCK. No sleeping? An artificial sun? Constant work? Ben dies, AGAIN? *shudder*
I am so tired of dystopian movies, bleak outcomes, and struggle. It’s too much like society for real, this endless subjugation of workers for corporate profit, disregard of people’s humanness, the need for proper rest, love, respect, and connection. When did we get so insane? It’s all too much for me today.
I want him to do a comedy. 😭

If it even remotely resembles Snowpiercer, I’m not going anywhere near Morning! After all the positive reviews for it, I finally gave in and watched it - on Netflix, I think. I actually watched the entire thing, hoping it would get better at some point. I still wonder what it was that people loved so much.
I think I’ve talked about it here before. Not only was it one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, but it was also by far the most violent movie I’ve ever seen. It wasn’t just violent - it was sickening. I wish I hadn’t seen it!

Sorry but this made me laugh so hard! Like the virtual tea party, we have a virtual anxiety/insomnia society going, lol. We should all just listen to Benedict narrate something to soothe our nerves. There's no better tonic! I vote for Casanova.

But tragedy is cathartic. That's why I love drama. It's a healthy way of making you stronger experiencing extreme things without living them. It helps us to deal with our normally much less dramatic everyday lives!
In another theme, I have seen a few comments about how the premise could give ideas to capitalists but it's very clear that the story is anti-capitalism. I really have a problem with people thinking the best way to confront some issue is not talking about it because any mention means support! They are very wrong!

They make me see things differently than I might have seen them. Whether or not I like them or enjoy them. Keeps the old brain active.

This is waaaay off topic, but I have to do this thing today that I’ve been procrastinating about for a month, and it’s probably very simple but I’ve just blown it up into a huge, awful thing in my mind. I need new tires for my car and one of them is very low and I don’t know if I should drive on it to the tire store. I called my insurance people and they don’t reinflate tires so they’d have to send a flatbed tow truck and when I scheduled that it was the day of the fires and I couldn’t get one because the road was closed. And then I procrastinated for a month. Now I just want to drive there myself and fuck the tow truck and the hassle and I have to do it today because I need my car and it’ll snow for the next few days and I don’t want to have to deal with that. On top of it all my knee went out on Friday so I’ve been in a tremendous amount of pain and trying to get that worked out (I need new knees but I can’t have them b/c I’m too large), so I’m just fucked no matter how I look at it.
Sorry for the rant. I don’t usually do this. I’m just overwhelmed today.

Don't watch the one I mentioned, then. One of the kids runs to try to kill one of the main characters and accidentally flies by him into a wood chipper. Poor main character - he could not figure out why the kid killed himself like that. I had to watch the scene multiple times - it was that funny. It was an intentional comedy horror movie, though, that was meant to make fun of all the regular horror tropes. My brain: gratuitous killing of adults? Yay! MOAR! Also my brain: Killing children or the dog? A hint of tragic romance? OMG. WTF. NOOOOOOOOOO. I somehow thing that there is no way BC would be into doing a movie like the one you mentioned. Doesn't seem to be his thing. But, I guess you never know. I am definitely starting Snowpiercer at lunch time after I have eaten my lunch.

Sorry for the rant. I don’t usually do this. I’m just overwhelmed today. YOU CAN DO IT. How far is the tire store? Is there a gas station closer? Can you pump it up there? Look, I drove about 5 miles on a tire with about 15 pounds of pressure when it should have had 32. No harm done. Then, I had to pump it up 2 more times before I could get in to get it fixed, but the slow leak was eventually fixed. IT WILL BE OK. (And, I hope your knee feels better).

I don't think it would be similar! Lol I used it as an example of a movie with an extremely silly premise but that was actually good. I personally really liked it! That was based in a comic book so it's very over the top.
