Our US members may already be familiar with this guy. But for anyone who isn't and who is prepared to submit themselves to a very scary experience then watch this documentary.
Stone is one truly amoral individual, a political lobbyist and behind the scenes strategist who has played a big role in Trump's rise to power.
If you weren't already worried about what makes Trump tick and what the potential impact of electing him as President might be then you most definitely will be after watching this documentary.
I found it both frightening and really enormously depressing.

Thank you, ellie for the suggestion. I think most of the politicians are very much like that. They exist to defend their class and interests. I didn't watch the documentary. I don't want to get more depressed (re:politics) than I am not only because of Trump.

Yes most politicians are motivated by self interest but, believe me, this guy is something else. He has no morals or ethics whatsoever. There simply is nothing he won't do if it makes money for him. He says when questioned about the morality of working with torturers and Dictators, "It made me a lot of money."

I'd like to watch it, too, but perhaps when I'm feeling a little stronger, emotionally. I am so exhausted with politics, stupidity and hate right now I'm beside myself. It's hard to describe what it's like living in the US right now. I have never seen such a level of hostility from my own government towards women, poc, lbgtq folks, basic human needs like healthcare, as well as science, education and democracy. It's truly horrible, and it's all because of these immoral and hateful animals like Roger Stone. I feel constantly attacked and it's so difficult just keeping a decent mood happening.
I need Ben to tuck me in and read me a bedtime story. 😕
Preferably one with a lot of sex. 😍

Politics is depressing here too QZ. The good news is that yesterday an openly gay man was elected as leader of the governing party. The bad news is he's probably one of the most right wing politicians we have. He's not sexist or racist but he believes very firmly in policies which only benefit the rich. Not a good day for the "have nots" of which there are many in Ireland, especially post the recent bank furlled economic apocolypse!
