I just saw a conversation by two random haters being angry at BC for playing Alan Turing in general but especially for not stuttering as it was reported he did in real life! He actually did but in a realistic not cartoonish way as they used to do in politically incorrect comical movies!!! LOL!
I think that it's another proof that Twitter activists who accuse everyone of being problematic are actually the most problematic people on earth!
Also there's not an actual recording of Turing voice but the family claimed BC did the voice they remembered with the perfect intonation and mannerisms. He always go for trying to sound as the real person even when it's not necessary and could be misunderstood as he doing a bad accent (Some people claim his Black Mass was really bad meanwhile at least two linguists and people who actually met the real guy keep saying he was perfect!)

So, they were angry he’s not an autistic savant irl? Because all those autistic savant actors who can carry a multimillion dollar picture need to have a seat at the table, to have representation! Or, maybe it was just not stammering enough. Or maybe they hate Ben in general. Because they’re idiots.

I don’t think it was about not being the real Alan Turing playing Alan Turing but about the movie not being historically accurate. You know! It’s BC’s fault! And one of them was angry because the (not) stuttering! I guess they wanted something like Michael Palin in A Fish Called Wanda or something! That’s historically accurate!

Well, BC does have a speech impediment IRL, if that makes them feel better.

That’s true! It’s actually a big achievement that it’s very rarely noticeable!
I wonder if he can claim he is discriminated when people made fun of him when he fails to correctly pronounce some words... like “penguin”! 😉 Seriously, I think part of the “fun” is that people think on him like someone with a perfect diction so surely most doesn’t even imagine he has a speech impediment! I think he has talked just once about it!
Doesn’t Alan Rickman also had some similar problem?
EDITED Also his stuttering as Alan Turing was there and was actually very well-researched and thoughtful. He talked about it at the time and if he didn’t over do it, it was because it was actually very subtle in real life.

I wonder why they didn’t go off about Charles Dance’s character not being an arsehole in real life? Or that Alan’s group didn’t make the life and death decisions the movie implied that they did? Or the fact that Alan wasn’t in the closet and picked up men at Bletchley Park that wasn’t shown in the movie? No, they’d rather die on the stuttering hill?
Christ, it’s a movie, not a documentary. And Ben’s portrayal was as accurate as he could get. It wasn’t a movie about overcoming stuttering, like The King’s Speech.
