Speaking of LoA, one of the *worst* movies ever made. Who does David Lean think he is? Long shots of the desert, sooooo boring. Nothing happening. And who the heck is Peter O’Toole? No charisma AT ALL. The whole thing was dry as dust. And completely unrealistic. You can’t take Akabar from the land!

I was reading somewhere that the real test of a good movie is how it makes you feel long after you’ve seen it. That’s why there are “good” movies that I have no memory of seeing, even though I did. I also read that Oscars should really be awarded 10 or 20 years later to see if the movies hold up over time.

I would say that the Oscars should add this "Test of Time Award" to their telecast, if it wouldn't make it even longer. Maybe they could take out a musical number.

I thought this article was old, but it’s dated June 5. There’s a mention of the movie, and they also include a picture of Benedict as Turing.

There’s no mention of The Imitation Game (or Benedict) in the article, but it’s still wonderful news!

I can listen to his voice all day! I don’t think I’ve ever heard him use the word “Gosh” before! The entire interview is about 6 minutes long, beginning at 26:15 www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0006sh1
