They have to show it this year! According to the NT Live website, 2018 is the 200th anniversary of the novel. So far, the closest venue to me that will showing it is 56 miles away - across the border in the US, I think.
I hope to see both versions again!

I am so excited - both versions will be coming to our local cinema! Several viewings of them - one set (of the reversal of roles) will take place on October 21st/22nd and then an additional viewing set the following week. There is also an extra showing of BC as the Creature midway between the two sets on October 24th. I would love to go to all of them in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the writing of one of my most favourite stories! :-))

My local theatre isn't listing it yet! Right now, the closest theatre showing it is in the Toronto area. But I had checked yesterday, and it wasn't there at all, so it looks like they're starting to post the dates today. The first year I saw it, I rushed to get advanced tickets out of town, and afterwards found out that the theatre 8 minutes away announced that they were also showing it. So I'm going to wait patiently - and keep checking the website every half hour!

I have been faithfully checking every day to see if Frankenstein was coming back to my local theatre, and until yesterday the closest theatre was an hour away. But today the theatre less than ten minutes away finally listed it! I bought tickets for both dates - October 22 with Benedict as the Creature, and October 29 with JLM as the Creature. And I even redeemed my points so the October 22 ticket was free!
Yay!

There’s a new trailer on YouTube, and it’s already had a couple of nasty comments. Why?? First no Emmy win, and now hatred for Frankenstein!

There’s a new trailer on YouTube, and it’s already had a couple of nasty comments. Why?? First no Emmy win, and now hatred for Frankenstein! No accounting for the idiot faction in this world, I guess. I can't wait to see this again at our local theatre. I've got it marked on my calendar and would like to see all three performances of I can. It was an amazing performance!!
