There is a lot of pressure to give positive reviews to certain kind of films... and a lot of trolls trying to destroy movies before their release day too. It's just crazy! Reading between lines and considering there are a few negative reviews even with the psdeudo progressive superhero, I think the movie is not very good! I liked Stephanie Zacharek review saying she is tired of "positive" female role models on these kind of films. Because they are just too virtuous and unreal. In general, Zacharek is becoming a favorite. I read her since when she worked for Movieline and recently she seems very independent minded even when the film review business is increasingly becoming monolithic and moralistic. She is receiving some flak right now for writing the review of this.

I read these tweets and I skimmed over the article.
I think the MCU movies are rather formulaic and uninspired, at least those I watched. Even Black Panther which was different because of the predominantly black cast and a better "villain" (and such good costumes) didn't escape the MCU formula. It was a little bit more entertaining than others. On the other hand such an advanced society had a monarchy, they resolved who was going to be the leader by fighting? Superhero movies are frankly ridiculous in my modest opinion. Also, why fictional characters who have nothing to do with the real world -and in the case of BP the difference between real Africa and fake Africa are huge- are considered inspiring just because they're black?

That’s my opinion, too. But that’s fine! There’s a place for ridiculous movies. I just don’t understand why people are looking for a deeper meaning in them. They’re not my taste, and I don’t plan on seeing this one. But I’ve seen the trailer and it seemed loud and violent to me, just like the other Marvel movies.

I think Twitter activists are more interested on romantic screen representation than trying to resolve problems in real life. IMHO It would be more interesting if they were campaigning for movies that presented the real life issues of minorities. It doesn't mean it shouldn't be black or female super-heroes. That's great, too! Black kids and little girl would love to see more people like them being heroic on screen. But the reactions on both sides are insane right now! Too extreme!
