Didn’t know where to put this, but it seems Disney has rehired Gunn to shoot Guardians 3. Amazing.

Good for him! And he now has two comic book projects, one with DC and the other with Marvel. If people still hate him for his nasty jokes they are in their right but I don’t think firing everyone who had said stupid things should continue. If he committed a crime, then fire him but for saying bad taste jokes… at a time it was very common to say those kind of jokes! Also there were other facts that complicated his case, a) it was politically motivated and Disney kind of gave ammunition to very dangerous types who use to fabricate conspiracy theories about Democrats, Mexican companies and big Hollywood personalities who happens to be critical of their politics; b) they still hired other comedians who were/are famous for doing disturbing jokes, ej. Sarah Silverman.

I stand by what I said originally: he deserved to be fired. Whether or not Disney re-hired him makes no difference to me because I thought GotG was terrible and will never watch a sequel anyway.
I would like to stress that he posted much more than tasteless jokes. And there has never been a time when it was common. If it became common, it’s because he was the one putting so much of it out there. He will always be a sick pervert in my eyes.

Early today I was talking with a friend about Robin Williams and now this made me think how he and almost all beloved American comedians were in that The Aristocrats film. I'm sure you weren't familiar with shock humor but I find slightly creepy when people seems suddenly forgot what happened just a few years ago! The Aristocrats was actually acclaimed by critics then but I can see a few of those same critics attacking it for immorality nowadays! And the ironic part is that I couldn't even finished it at the time! I never watched the whole thing! It was just to horrible for me (WARNING: disturbing description of a joke next) Most jokes were about incest and child sexual abuse but the one that disturbed me more was when someone described himself raping his daughter until she was bleeding. I'm not sure but probably it was Bob Sagat. People keep saying his joke was the worst/most sick. Maybe I didn't even hear him! I seriously don't remember it! My point is if Disney would had been congruent they should had fired much more people and not just Gunn! It seems they understood it at the end of the day.

Bob Saget has always talked about how he worked “blue” in his early comedy career. And he was as surprised as anyone else when he was hired to play a dad in Full House, a family sitcom. I think they figured that the Full House audience wouldn’t be aware of what he had done before - it certainly came as a surprise to me! But I’ve never forgotten it. Every time I see him, I still think of that disturbing comedy he used to do.
