And more British press... Again in the actual article they don't even mention his nice words for Marvel films! It's not just the headline! It's amazing how even the most shitty click baity comic book sites reported his exact words but mainstream British press just couldn't let pass the occasion to try to fabricate some conflict. And no, I'm not worried. I'm not a fan of Marvel neither! I know no one will be actually harmed by this: comic book sites already did a much more fair report of his actual words and Marvel couldn't care less about any criticism right now. I feel for Scorsese and co. because even when I think they are being very rude and ignoring a lot of context (this doesn't began with Marvel but with their friends Spielberg and Lucas in the late 70s, for example), I totally understand why they are so angry. Disney is indeed dominating the market. I'm just fascinated by how bad and malicious the press could be, especially British press!

The interviewer is so upbeat, but the three of them look so tired! I wonder how many of these interviews they had to do?

I have a a question! In one of the interviews I listened to, Benedict was asked if he preferred oatmeal raisin or chocolate chip cookies. They said it was a question that a previous celebrity had left for whoever was interviewed next. But the recording ended before Benedict was asked to leave a question for a future celebrity interview. Does anyone know if that was part of Benedict’s interview? I’m curious about what he would have asked. Of course, they might not broadcast the questions in advance so that it’s a surprise for the audience and for the celebrity who answers it.

uproxx.com/movies/the-current-war-directors-cut-alfonso-gomez-rejon/There’s still lots of confusion about that TIFF premiere! This guy from Aproxx interviewed the director and told him that the film critics were never informed that they were watching a movie that wasn’t finished and not to review it yet. But we were definitely told that at the screening I attended! I even wrote about it here somewhere, so I’m not just making it up now. Also, maybe this Aproxx guy just wasn’t paying attention, because he should have wondered why there were so few reviews for a movie that was opening soon. The other film critics did know about it, then. I put a comment to him about it on twitter. In a question to the director, he says:

I almost unstanned him b/c of his answer to that question. 🤣 Lots of people freaked out over that, but I understood his answer differently. He was saying that he loves chocolate so he would never eat the kind of chocolate they put in cookies.

No, I get it but some cookies have very good chocolate in them. And to prefer oatmeal raisin over chocolate anything just makes me 🤢
He’s treading on thin ice these days, lol.

Some of those young critics are always nasty and not even in a review which could be seen until certain degree as fair play but on social media. Who knows? Maybe as critic he was informed otherwise. I remember you said it was Gomez-Rejon himself who told the audience it wasn't finished yet. Maybe critics ignoring him because it wasn't an official announcement by the producers. Just a director defending himself on stage! Anyway, even if it won't be a big critical or commercial hit, I'm surprised and happy with the goodwill is receiving by Americans press, critics and even a few award pundits. It's nice to read comments like this one,
