It's a small movie, I don't think they are hoping for big numbers from the box office like a blockbuster or a more expensive movie and they are betting for some awards hype (they need to release it eary in the year if they want to ge in the conversation) that could help them not just for the normal box office but also for the VOD.

So, (and I know I've probably asked this before, but I still don't quite understand) which streaming service would it be offered on? Or can you just go to a dedicated site and "demand" (upon paying for it of course) that you see it?

They are saying "everywhere". I guess we have to wait to see. I'm guessing Amazon, Hulu, YouTube and maybe some local movie theaters services. You know, sites in which you pay to rent individual movies.

It actually did very good I think, considering the low number of screens involved.
I see that once I registered for the screening I saw the other night, I can repeat the viewing with one click for an additional $10 fee (which is a bargain when 2 people are watching!).
