I thought filming had ended.

It sounds like these filmmakers spent their time in quarantine thinking up new names for their movies.

Probably in this case it's an error by the newspaper. We will see!
In the case of Ironbark/The Courier, it was the film company announcing not just the new title but also the release date so that one was pretty official.
I understand he is working in the post-production.

Putting this here because apparently the sgev's tweet has disappeared. It is now untitled. I liked Prisoner 760.

This is going to confuse a lot of people who will think “Mauritanian” is science-fiction!

I don't understand why they don't use Guantanamo Diary or Prisoner 760. Those are good names. This is going to confuse a lot of people who will think “Mauritanian” is science-fiction! Why science-fiction? I think the information in the tweet comes from here:

I'm with Magda on this one! "Guantanamo Diary or Prisoner 760. Those are good names."
I think naming the film "Mauritian" is frankly stupid. First it's a big mistake to title the movie, which obviously they want to market in English language countries (considering they have major draws like BC and JF in the cast), with such a word that has such NEGATIVE CONNOTATIONS in those countries (if indeed it has any connotations at all!).
And a title should encapsulate the essence of the movie, which I am having a very hard time picturing this title would (after reading the summaries of what it is about). That's why I think the first two title selections were so much better.
