I can't believe that Bridesmaids is named twice! It's not a bad movie but it is incredible that someone could considers it the best film of the decade!
Good for BC and his classy choice!

Parts of Bridesmaids was good but the scatalogical parts were completely unnecessary, imo. I hate gross humor like that.

I agree completely about Bridesmaids! It was such a disappointment because I had heard it was so good, but it was just another dumb movie with gross toilet humour. But it got high praise for starring women instead of men, which I guess was supposed to be a big step up for women in movies. I still remember women at work talking about it, saying that even their boyfriends/husbands were willing to see it! And that’s exactly what it was - a dumb guy movie with women. Check out this other list of their top 50 films of the decade. They don’t really explain who came up with this list, but they have movies on it that I considered truly awful (including Bridesmaids) and others that I even forgot I saw because they were so forgettable. www.timeout.com/london/film/the-best-films-of-the-2010s

The list is a tad pretentious.

I know it's almost unmentionable (there was even a joke about it in the BC's segment in Between two ferns) but Black Panther is also not that good to be included in these kind of lists. Another film that it's there just because "representation".
From the celebrities list, I like they mentioned films like Happy as Lazaro, Force Majeure, Son of Saul, Burning and, yes, Cold War. Most of them are from young filmmakers and all by filmmakers I personally discovered this decade so I think they are all deserving to be included just for that! There are also some famous great directors there which it's great but I totally understand and love actors and directors choosing new discoveries!

Now I will definitely have to check out "Cold War".

Another film that it's there just because "representation". Just to play devil’s advocate, that film, while I agree it’s not great, was a breakthrough film for mainstream/popular culture and spoke to many people in ways that supported their identity that hadn’t been seen before. Representation is necessary and important.
