I deleted a post about this event with Ari Wagner (she will talk about her career so she MAYBE would talk about the new Jane Campion's movie) because I was totally wrong about the zone times! It will be tomorrow at very early morning here so I won't watch it. I have to work tomorrow! I hope it's recorded! Anyway if someone is interested you have to register,

Well, I actually watched the thing! It was great and she extensively talked about working in TPOTD at the beginning of the interview. Sadly at the beginning, I was mostly sleepy! I remember she said something about Campion asking her for monochromatic colors (she mentioned green but I don't remember more!!!). She believes the visual aspect of the movie will be stunning and something really new and original not just because the photography but also because Grant Major's work.
She told that she knew Campion beforehand because they worked together in an ad years ago then she invited her to work in this film. She read the book and the script and loved both. Then she said that first they worked in South New Zealand for exteriors and with a lot of cattle then they were to a studio and how both were great and fun experiences. In general, she described the experience of working with Campion as "fun" and relaxed. She also described the themes of the film as familiar to Campion's old work even when for first time her main character is a man: sexuality, great landscapes and a character that it's ahead of the times (I can't imagine Phil as the last! He strongly tries to cling to the past!).
That's what I remember!

Interesting chat. Too bad the interviewer didn't include BC in the cast mentions!
And Mllemass, my fingers will be crossed, for you (in hopes that you may attend!) if the film is a part of TIFF! Maybe a new pic for your profile?!? 👍😊

I hated that she interrupted him! He clearly wanted to say more about Campion and the cast! And then she just forgot him! (She also said she was a Campion fan but called her Champion. Then she corrected herself but still...) But it doesn't matter, BC is still the lead!!! 😉
Smit-Mcphee is promoting a new movie so I hope he talks more about the film. He clearly is excited with the project. Jesse Plemons and his sternness was disappointing! 😉 He barely mentioned the movie meanwhile promoting I'm Thinking in Ending Things! And BC's interviews for The Courier meanwhile filming this are still embargoed! Smit-Mcphee is our only hope right now! Lol
