Not really sure if I should be updating this but it may be helpful to someone down the road.
I started my symptoms on the 2nd of the month so I should be done by now, but I've still got them. I'm feeling better overall but, I get coughing fits whenever I speak, my breathing isn't normal yet and for some unknown reason, I've started getting high fevers again today.
Of the people at work with me who also tested positive, 2 were totally asymptomatic and are testing negative now. One had mild symptoms of a sore throat and migraines and is also testing negative now. It's only me and the guy who infected us all who are still symptomatic and testing positive. We can't return to work yet. We're all vaccinated so it seems to be down to each person's immune system. I guess that's been the case all along.
Thanks so much sgev1977. 🤗 I'm sorry it's not a happier update. I've definitely improved a lot in some ways but, it's just lingering a bit and that's frustrating. I'm keeping in mind it's only been a few months since I had my thyroidectomy so that may be why I'm struggling a bit more. It's a good sign that 3 out of 5 who caught it on my team were just fine. Hopefully it'll be that mild for the majority out in the world who may be infected.
Finally tested negative just now! Week 1 was hellish, week 2 was a huge improvement, then week 3 was as bad as the first week. idk how? It's been a weird journey. I probably had another virus with it because I have no other explanation for this rotten 3rd week I've had. Most of the symptoms have gone. I get the occasional coughing fit but even those are better than they were just a few days ago. Mostly extreme fatigue and some confusion. Fingers crossed I never catch this blasted virus again. It has been a misery every time.
