I just noticed that the video with the first question doesn't include the actual answer nor the question!
He was asked about the "Southern" accent. He said it was actually a very specific South Carolina accent and that he worked during the pre-production with an American coach called Joy Ellison, who was already working with him for Jane Campion’s TPOTD (yeah! He finally mentioned it!). There was another accent coach during the actual production but that person wasn't available before it. He also asked to Stu Coach for help and he was happy that he told him his accent was good.

Thinking about it, it's hysterical! He really wants to do everything at the same time! He really is Isabelle Huppert in that Call My Agent! episode! I wonder if he was hiding from Sam Raimi to answer those questions!

Marvel sites and fanboys are now speculating what he is hiding. I laughed at a guy claiming it should be something with his facial hair because no way he would do zoom calls "mid-takes"! Lol Of course, he would!
It's probably nothing big. He was on the set with his Doctor Strange outfit and make-up. If he showed himself like that people would be analyzing every single detail like they are analyzing the no-details at all right now!

We know very well that he takes rules so seriously, so if he was told not to be seen in costume, then we see his ceiling, instead. All the times he was told not to spoil plot details, he kept his word even if others didn’t.
He’s a good guy!

"Murmur"= a fabrication by The Guardian later exploited by Independent using out of context quotes by Jodie Foster and BC to make them look like fools. Both newspapers not very different than their right wing rivals: obsessed with celebrities and with self-righteous. www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/features/tahar-rahim-interview-the-mauritanian-serpent-b1824826.htmlBy the way the word "narrative" is increasingly sounding to me like an excuse to demand people to tell lies to pathetic little creatures who are unable of understanding complex issues si I don't think Rahim is wrong here. They really aren't very different to Trump followers: they just don't want to hear anything that contradict their very limited worldview.

I don’t think people understand what a “white savior” narrative is, frankly. I’ve heard To Kill a Mockingbird accused of that, and I wonder who, exactly, did Atticus Finch save? He lost the case & his client was murdered.

Lol. He indeed lost both the case and his client! He is heroic not because he saves the black man but because he is fighting for a lost cause against all odd and damaging his reputation because it. The book is about racism, yes, but also about going against the current. That's probably why mob mentality people think it's "problematic"
TBH I worried a little about the movie centering on those characters when it was announced the all star cast but it didn't. The function of them in supporting roles is to attract audiences but Rahim is clearly the lead. The craziest thing here is that there isn't any polemic out there! The Guardian did a stupid question and then the Independent run with it posting that click-baity piece with, again, out of context quotes by the white stars. Famous people their readers can gladly attack! It was designed to fabricate a scandal! Now, their journalist casually called the pseudo-scandal fabricated by themselves "a murmur"! It's ridiculous! Anyway and I probably should had posted that quote instead and ignoring the idiocy, Rahim calls this movie the first Hollywood film with a positive portrayal of a Muslim man at the center!
