It irritates me a whole lot more if he doesn't get a nomination, than if he doesn't win something. Nominations garner a lot of positive press about an actor (for a lot longer time than the actual win itself) and show anyone who takes stock in this sort of thing that the person is in a very select, chosen group. That's quite an honour in itself.
Sure, I would celebrate a win on his behalf (it's nice to get lucky and win something every once in a while), but since a lot of really talented, popular actors have lost out on every award going, and I don't need to see him win a trophy to validate any of my feelings of respect and admiration I have for him as a person and an actor, I always view any "wins" purely as a bonus and not something I get down about if he doesn't get lucky on that particular night.

All the awards in the world couldn't convince me to watch Deadpool. I'll stick with Benedict.
