I also see that Tilda S. is nominated for best supporting actress.
I was also really glad to see MG nominated for the music of Strange (and for Rogue as well). The music for DS was so beautifully suited to the visuals IMO.
It was also lovely that Scott Derrickson got the nod for best direction - he deserved a nom (especially when you consider that he had such a short turn around time to get the film finished).
:-))

I'm not exactly sure what these awards are, but they're taking place tomorrow - June 28.
Fingers crossed for Benedict and Doctor Strange!

They are fantasy/genre awards. They are old and very popular. I think BC was nominated before for STID.

Doctor Strange won Best Comic-To-Film picture and Tilda Swinton won Best Supporting Actress. The Best Actor award went to Ryan Reynolds for Deadpool. Don't Breathe won Best Horror. www.saturnawards.org/

Sad BC didn't win, but happy for Tilda and Scott. I think Ben is cursed.

I think Ryan Reynolds was a very predictable winner.

I think Ryan Reynolds was a very predictable winner. Yes, he was. It is sad, however, that BC is never a predictable winner and even when he is (like Bafta for Sherlock) he doesn't win, either. But I am really, really happy for Tilda Swinton, she gave an outstanding performance which should have been got more appreciation. Also, I think they should have won Special Effects. Sure, Rogue One effects are impressive and well done, but quite "traditional" - we have seen similar things before and we will see them again in the next movie. Dr Strange proposed something innovative and fresh.

Rogue One won special effects over Dr. Strange?! I guess that is a polemic decision. Best Actor was predictable. The character as played by Ryan Reynolds was a phenomenon. I haven't watched the movie and I'm not interested in watched it but everyone was talking about the character and Reynolds finally hitting big. I also think he is a good actor so I'm glad he is receiving some recognition. People were very cynical about him and his career choices.
BC have a good number of awards even if he doesn't have a BAFTA and he will win much more in the future so don't worry!
