As I promised I watched this series with Cynthia Erivo. It's good. I found it very entertaining. Probably the best thing is the performances: Ben Mendelsohn is great, Marc Menchaca is great, Julianne Nicholson is great, Mare Winningham is great, everybody is great! Erivo plays a mysterious bigger than life character. The kind a character that some would call "autistic" a few years ago. She is almost super human in her way of thinking but this is a Stephen King adaptation so her way of thinking is not scientific or rational but, you know, supernatural. Actually, I kind of liked a little more the series at the beginning when it seemed they were investigating an impossible crime instead of something supernatural but I knew the case was indeed very impossible and that this was a horror series so the explanation would be a monster did it and it was! Anyway, she is a very charismatic performer. You can't avoid to watch her when she is on screen so it's a little perplexing all the hate she receives... or maybe not! You know, Tall Poppy Syndrome!
