Just started this miniseries today on Crave.
Really good atmosphere! And Nicole Kidman is stunning! Hugh Gant is excellent too.
We've just watched the first two episodes and I can't wait to see more.
Anyone else watching it?

Tonight we watched two more episodes and one of them highlighted one of my favourite actors, Donald Sutherland. It's so lovely to see him in action. He's so masterful with exhibiting a wide range of emotions very quickly. And especially his portrayal of a cold, calculating and powerful individual, but also anchoring this performance in deeply felt emotions for his daughter.

Well we binged the rest of it and enjoyed it right up to the end which was a bit too fantastical for my tastes.
On the whole the series was very slickly done, beautiful production values, offered real star power with Kidman and Grant (who was very good IMO), had enough twists and turns to keep your interest but did feel rather shallow and empty when it was all over. I'd give it a "B". Maybe a "B-". I still can't get over seeing Donald Sutherland and he did a wonderful job with his character!
Now onto another series! I Know This Much is True will be next in line.

I stopped watching it after some episodes. I'm rather bored of this kind of series. They make one series of some type (like Big Little Lies) and then they do some variant of it.
It happened with the Nordic Noir series.
Perhaps the possibility of binge watching series is harming/changing my way of perceiving them.

I’d like to see this, too, if it’s ever shown somewhere where I can see it!
I had been a big fan of Wally Lamb ever since Oprah featured his first book on her Book Club. But the last one I read, We Are Water, has turned me right off and I don’t think I’ll be reading more of his stuff.

I enjoyed it until the last 15 minutes or so. Felt like they weren’t sure how to end it.

The helicopter scene was way over the top for me. But like you said it held my interest for the most part. I always enjoy Hugh Grant and it took me a while to realise that I really liked watching Nicole Kidman in action too (although I wouldn't say this was a particularly strong role for her). Sure she's done some stinkers but some of her films are just mesmerizing! I think one of my favourites is her role in The Railway Man.
